Rep. Umaru, Other Lawmakers Attend Senator Ewuga’s Funeral In Alushi

Rep. Jeremiah Umaru and other members of the National Assembly from Nasarawa State attended the funeral of Senator Solomon Ewuga at his hometown in Alushi, Nassarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the State.
He joined other mourners from across the country for the burial shortly after returning from Johannesburg, South Africa.
Earlier, the funeral service held at the Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ (ERCC) had in attendance former Governors of Nasarawa State, Senator Abdullahi Adamu (Turakin Keffi) and Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura.
Other dignitaries who also attended the funeral service include Governor Abdullahi Sule and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda who paid glowing tribute to the deceased.
Senator Ewuga, one of the founding fathers of Nasarawa State died on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the age of 70 in Cairo, Egypt, where he had gone for medical attention.
The deceased had served as Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State and Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, during the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo. He also represented Nasarawa North in the 7th National Assembly, where he contributed meaningfully to national discourse.
