Late Ohworode Was A Beacon Of Peace And Culture — Chief Dr. Ogheneovo Edewor.

The Founder and Chairman of the Chief Ovo Edewor Foundation, Chief Dr. Ogheneovo Edewor, JP, has paid glowing tribute to the late Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Macaulay Popo Ovbagbedia, Uhurhie-Osadjere II, describing him as “a beacon of peace, a guardian of Urhobo tradition, and a man of honour.”

In a press briefing at his Abuja office, Chief Dr. Edewor who is the Olokun 1 of Eku and The Obarisi 1 of Eku expressed deep sorrow over the monarch’s passing, noting that the revered royal father lived a life of dignity, service, and cultural preservation.

“He was a true custodian of Urhobo values, whose wisdom and calm spirit brought unity to Olomu Kingdom and beyond. His legacy of leadership and peaceful engagement will remain a guiding light to all of us,” Chief Dr. Edewor stated.

He extended his heartfelt condolences to the royal family, the people of Olomu Kingdom, and the entire Urhobo nation, praying that the legacy of the late Ohworode continues to inspire future generations.

Chief Dr. Ogheneovo Edewor, JP, founder and chairman of the Chief Ovo Edewor Foundation, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as one of Nigeria’s most principled and patriotic leaders.

Chief Edewor, as a former Grand Patron of the Buhari Door-to-Door Movement nationwide, and one of the founding members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who supported the emergence of President Muhammadu Buhari as the party’s presidential candidate and subsequently, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria stated that;

"This is a moment of great loss. Nigeria has lost a patriot, a visionary, and a man who gave everything for the good of the nation. The late President Buhari was a paragon of integrity who tirelessly fought corruption and served Nigeria with unwavering dedication. His commitment to a united and prosperous nation was unshakeable. May his legacy endure, and may his soul rest in peace.”

Chief Dr. Edewor further noted that Buhari’s tenure marked a defining chapter in Nigeria’s democracy, characterized by bold reforms in anti-corruption, infrastructure, and national security. He emphasized that history will remember him as a leader who stayed true to his convictions.
