I had the privilege of being part of the All Progressives Congress National Convention, and it was truly a remarkable gathering.

The atmosphere was electrifying, filled with colour, energy, and a massive turnout of delegates and party stakeholders who converged at Eagle Square in a strong demonstration of unity, solidarity, and renewed commitment to the party’s ideals.

One of the defining moments of the convention was the re-emergence of Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda as the National Chairman. His leadership so far has been commendable, and there is a shared confidence that under his guidance, the party is well-positioned for greater victories ahead, especially as we look toward 2027.

Oyo State made a bold and impressive presence, with a large delegation alongside numerous loyal party members who journeyed to Abuja to witness and participate in this historic event.

Today, together with my colleagues, I had the privilege of joining the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Nigeria, Tajudeen Abbas, at a special Iftar programme. The gathering provided a moment of reflection, unity and gratitude as we collectively observed the spiritual essence of the holy month of Ramadan.

The Iftar session brought together leaders, colleagues, and well-wishers in an atmosphere of brotherhood and mutual respect. It was an opportunity not only to break our fast together but also to strengthen relationships and reaffirm our shared commitment to service, cooperation, and the progress of our nation.
