*ONDO GOVT HOLDS STUDENTS' WAEC RESULTS OVER VIRAL SIGN-OUT VIDEO* 🌟😊👏💯June 24, 2026*WHAT HAPPENED* 🌟The Ondo State Ministry of Education has punished some secondary school students because of a viral “sign-out” video. The students are from Oyemekun Grammar School, Aquinas Secondary School, and CAC Grammar School. The video spread on TikTok and Facebook after students finished their WAEC exams. In the video, students were tearing their uniforms and shouting bad words.*THE PUNISHMENT* 💔The Ministry met with school leaders in Akure and gave these punishments:1. *For 17 students in the video:* Their WAEC results and school testimonials will be held. Their names will also be put in their school’s “black book” for bad behaviour. 📚2. *For school leaders:* Principals must now keep a “black book” to record student misbehavior. Senior staff at the affected schools were queried for not controlling the students. 💯3. *For students not in final year:* Any student in the video who is not in their final class will be expelled from school immediately. 🚫*WHAT THE GOVERNMENT SAID* 🤝The Commissioner for Education, Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun, said celebrating is okay, but the government will not allow bad behaviour that spoils the name of schools in Ondo State. He said: “The ‘sign-out’ habit among students must be done with good behaviour. We will not watch our schools lose discipline because of social media. We must protect our education system. We will not allow unserious students to disturb our schools.” 💪The Permanent Secretary, Dr. Akindele Ige, told principals to report problems early to stop them from getting worse.Parents and the students involved were called to the Ministry today to collect their punishment letters. The Commissioner also told parents to advise their children so they don’t do things that can spoil their future. He said these punishments will stop other students from doing the same thing.Alade TV 🎉😊👍
