Mr & Mrs Owan Contest to hold on January 3rd 2026

Owan Trust/Global Bridge Initiative have fixed January 3rd 2026 for the maiden edition of Mr & Miss Owan Contest. The contest is open to males and females, desirous of showcasing their talent, strength and intellect.

The contest is scheduled as part of the activities to climax the Owan Marathon 10km Road Race. Prices have been announced for the winners of the contest in the male and female Categories.

The event will be held at Hunter's Bar, Beverley Hotel Sabongida-Ora, Edo State at 6pm.

Com Monday Orhue Emerge as Treasurer, TUC Edo State

Edo State Chairman of Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria, RTEAN, Com Monday Orhue has been elected as Treasurer of Trade Union Congress, (TUC) Edo State.'

The election which was held in Benin City had in attendance affiliate unions, representatives of the national headquarters, press men and observers.

The new executives were later presented with certificates and sworn-in to the oath of office. They were charged to work collectively in accordance with the constitution of the Trade Union Congress.
