I was in Maiduguri to monitor the ongoing payment of scholarships to Yobe indigenes across tertiary institutions in Borno State. I’m impressed with the smooth conduct of the exercise, the dedication of the Board staff, and the cooperation of student affairs units, NUYOSS local chapters, and beneficiaries.
As always, a robust mechanism is in place to ensure every eligible applicant receives his or her bursary. Students with genuine complaints should liaise with their local student union for prompt resolution.
The only institution not covered is the Army University Biu due to certain constraints; however, modalities are already in place to attend to affected students.
