PUBLIC NOTICE!

It has come to the notice of the Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Rivers State that there is an illegal inauguration slated to take place, tomorrow, Friday, September 4, 2026.
This arrangement is not known to the State Executive of the party, led by Hon. John Ndubueze Nwachukwu, as Acting Chairman, Dr. Benibo George, as Secretary and other members of the authentically elected State Executives of the party.
There is no existing court judgement that has rendered our leadership void, as of this moment.
These faceless miscreants will stop at nothing to spread falsehood in their bid to cause confusion and attempt to destabilise the party.
Any documentation to that effect must emanate and distributed by the State Secretariat of the party, situated at 23 Aba Road, Port Harcourt, and these impostors do not have such legitimate document at their disposal to carry such an exercise.
We urge the general public to disregard their sinister plan of parading themselves as members of our party, but cannot produce authentic party identification and other relevant documents from the National Secretariat, of our great party, situated at Wadata Plaza, Wuse Zone 5.

Do not partake in illegality. To be forewarned, is to be informed.

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Hon. Abdulrahman Mohammed, the National Secretary, Sen. Samuel Anyanwu as well as other members of the National Working Committee of the party, paid a condolence visit to PDP Rivers State, and were received by the Deputy National Chairman, South, PDP, Hon. Chukwuemeka Aaron, DSSRS, the PDP Gubernatorial Candidate for Rivers State, Chief Soni Ejekwu, and other members of the State Working Committee of PDP Rivers State, after visiting our National Leader of PDP, His Excellency, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, GSSRS, over the demise of the South-South Zonal Vice Chairman, Chief Dan Osi Orbih.
Recall that the South-South Zonal office is in Port Harcourt.

PDP RIVERS STATE MOURNS, CHIEF DAN OSI ORBIH (SOUTH-SOUTH VICE CHAIRMAN)

The State Executives and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Rivers State Chapter, received with great sadness, the news of the passing of our South-South Zonal Chairman, of our great party, Chief Dan Osi Orbih, which occurred yesterday.

Chief Orbih, a renowned Legislator and political icon, was a huge support system, an engine room of our party. A man who had distinguished himself in politics, a colossus, who has left an indelible mark and shoes, too big to fill. We are consoled by the positive legacy he left, his service to our great party, whicn is a testament of loyalty, unwavering dedication, focus and commitment even in trying times. He showed us resilience and audacious bravery in the many systemic upheaval he surmounted in his political sojourn.

While, we condole with our South-South Zonal and National Leadership, we moreso, condole with our National Leader, His Excellency, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, GSSRS, who lost not only a party Leader but a formidable ally who stood by him when it mattered the most.
Our prayer is that, may his memory be a blessing and his legacies and contributions to the ideals of democracy, never be forgotten.
Rest in peace, the great Chief Dan Osi Orbih, we shall honour you by joining our National Secretariat, to ensure that all our flags at the State and Local Government Secretariats across our dear state, are flown at half mast.

PDP MOURNS THE PASSING OF NATIONAL VICE CHAIRMAN, SOUTH SOUTH, CHIEF DR. DAN ORBIH
DIRECTS ALL PDP FLAGS TO FLY AT HALF-MAST FOR THREE DAYS

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has received with profound sadness the news of the passing of its National Vice Chairman, South South, Dr. Dan Orbih, who died in London after a brief illness.

Dr. Dan Orbih was a loyal, committed and dependable member of the Peoples Democratic Party who devoted himself to the ideals of democracy and the advancement of our great Party. His dedication, wisdom and contributions to the growth and stability of the PDP will remain deeply appreciated and fondly remembered by the Party and its members.

His death is a great loss, not only to his family and loved ones, but also to the entire PDP family.

The PDP extends its deepest condolences to his immediate family, relatives, friends and associates, as well as to all members and supporters of our great Party.

The Party particularly commiserates with the Hon. Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barrister Nyesom Wike, over the loss of his close confidant, trusted associate and friend. We share in his grief at this difficult moment and pray that Almighty God grants him the strength to bear this painful loss.

Dr. Dan Orbih may have departed this world, but his service, loyalty and contributions to the PDP, as well as to our democratic journey, will not be forgotten.

At this moment of grief, the Party stands firmly with his family and all those who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.

As a mark of honour and respect for the late National Vice Chairman, the National Working Committee hereby directs all Peoples Democratic Party offices to fly the Party flag at half-mast for a period of three days.

We pray that Almighty God grants the bereaved family and his loved ones the strength and fortitude to bear this painful and irreparable loss.

Yesterday, the Deputy National Chairman, South, PDP, Hon. Chukwuemeka Aaron, DSSRS, JP, led party leaders, the Acting State Chairman, Hon John Ndubueze Nwachukwu, JP , the State Secretary, Dr. Benibo George, DSSRS, who joined other elders and dignitaries across Rivers State and Nigeria, to attend the funeral service in honour of Late Mrs Werege Sussanah Owhor, who transited to eternal glory, at the age of 102 years.
Late Mrs Werege Sussanah Owhor, is the mother of Chief Frank Owhor, an elder statesman and stalwart of PDP Rivers State.
