AN APPEAL TO INVEST IN SKILLS ACQUISITION AND ENTREPRENEURIAL DEVELOPMENT IN PLATEAU STATE.
Greetings to you and to the good people of Plateau state, with hopes that this finds you well and in great health.
I am making this post Sir to draw your attention to a matter that is of particular concern to me and several other youth on the Plateau with a sincere prayer that it will be hastily taken into consideration.
It is no secret Sir that many people have described Plateau State as a civil service state, but I respectfully believe that this description does not fully capture the immense potential of Plateau people.
Across our communities are thousands of talented youth and women who have built careers and livelihoods through skills such as shoemaking, tailoring, fashion design, makeup artistry, hairdressing, welding, ICT, and other vocational trades. These individuals are hardworking, creative, and determined to succeed.
However Sir, what many of them lack is access to advanced training, modern equipment, startup support, and opportunities to expand their businesses. And so Sir, I will like to humbly appeal to your administration to prioritize skills acquisition, entrepreneurial development, and small business support.
By establishing vocational training centers, providing grants and soft loans, sponsoring advanced skill training programs, and creating markets for locally made products, you will be empowering thousands of young men and women across the state. Such investments will not only reduce unemployment but also stimulate economic growth, create wealth, and reduce dependence on government jobs.
A skilled and empowered population will contribute significantly to the prosperity and development of Plateau State.
