Chief Greg Obioha a Chieftain of APC in Orsu LGA, A Renowned Social Critic & Public Opinion Analyst Tweeted Awhile Ago>>

Prince Henry is the best thing that has happened to our performing Governor and his Rescue Mission Government in the oil bearing region of Ohaji/Egbema and Oguta council Areas. He was instrumental to pe*******on of the erstwhile PDP cm Nzeribe stronghold and final subduing of the region by Rescue Mission Family. It is a known fact that without Okafor there would not have been anything like victory for APC in Oguta Council Area and this is never an accident because it has been the trend since 2011 supplementary elections till date.

Prince Dr Henry has remained the catalyst for those political changes and reactions that favoured Owelle. From his Ossemotor homestead, he networks across board in the remaining ten wards of Oguta LGA deploying his men and resources that abound to make electoral victory possible and do not forget that election has much to do with goodwill, followership and resources.

You cannot compare Uju with Okafor when it comes to election matters and human resource management. We know Uju's role in this government and to be very candid he is doing well in the sector he is assigned to oversee and that does not in any way catapult him to any Olympian political height he has not attained. He has not been in the field and cannot boast of any verifiable electioneering planning cm involvement that translated to victory. I know too well that PDP subdued him in the last election in 2015 and produced state Assembly and House of Reps members from his Ohaji/Egbema LGA.

So what are we talking about? That he got empowered through construction and handling of special projects and he has so much in his pocket does not make him this larger than life political image some of those who besiege him for money would want us to see him. To me,he is more of a successful contractor than a politician and to be candid, being a successful contractor does not make you a politician over night.

The problem in our clime is that people who ordinarily should play role of financiers ,providing funding during election turn round to aspire for elective offices and that is why Igboland is in a mess politically. People should be deployed to their area of comparative advantage. I do not see him beating Henry Okafor in any political contest and when a system fails to assign its troops to their areas of expertise, what do you expect? Failure! woeful outing!

Uju should first go and reclaim Ohaji/Egbema from Opiah and Orie before talking of such a large federal constituency.Remember Okafor is more or else consolidating on the political exploits of his late father. Governor Okorocha is very calculative politically and can't gamble with the ticket of such sensitive federal constituency. A federal constituency that plays major role in determining who wins Imo state in guber and other higher electoral contests.

I talk straight and say things as they are. I do not arrogate what somebody is not to him no matter whose ox is gored. Uju is a hardworking and determined young man who has excelled in his chosen field. Will that make me to say he is the best for Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Fed Constituency? No I can't say that because he has no prowess in that sector. That slot is for Prince Dr Henry Okafor because people should be made to reap where they have sown and not otherwise. Henry has paid his dues and should be allowed to receive what is due to him and remember politicking is like insurance which yields premium with time. Uju should learn the game, help others to win as Dr. Okafor has done over the years and wait for his turn of electoral reward.

*Prince Dr. Henry Okafor: The Immortal Among Men*

Kratos had defied the limitations of men and battled his way into the Olympus to earn the status of demigods. Even Hades, Poseidon and Ares were all in unanimous agreement with Zeus that Kratos had deserved such honor. But while the Greek warrior had earned the respect of the gods through furies and rages of blades, there are few other mortal men in our time who have achieved similar feat through powerful spirit of resilience and milk of human kindness. And Prince Dr Henry Harold Okafor, the Lion of the Oil Kingdom is one of such men.

Born on this day several decades ago to the royal family of Late Eze Micheal Wonder Okafor of Ossemotor Ancient Port Kingdom in Oguta LGA of Imo State, Prince Henry was growing up at a time when his age mates were growing up. The adversities and misfortunes that bedeviled his community during the Ossemotor/Oguta communal crisis did not tame or subdue the young Prince. He was bloodied but yet unbowed. The tough situations had actually united to forge a man with extreme perseverance and resilience.

The young Lion had survived the harsh and treacherous conditions and turmoil of Sahara Desert enroute to North Africa where he had sought refuge when his life was threatened at home by the assassin's bullet. On his safe return from North Africa, Prince Dr Henry Okafor had dared the odds to fish on the same waters that swept away his father.

Prince Okafor's shear doggedness, sagacity and dexterity had earned him admiration and respect from foes and friends such that when the broom revolution had arrived the shores of Oguta Lake with its party, the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Prince Dr Henry Okafor was in a pole position and was always going to emerge effortlessly as the unanimous pick to lead the party from the area.

During the 2011 ballot revolution that birthed the Rescue Mission, Oguta LGA emerged as one of the last battlegrounds. The conservatives had hoped to use their anticipated victory of Oguta LGA to reverse the early successes of their rivals. They had therefore approached Prince Dr Henry Okafor who was the then Chairman of the ACN (now APC) with tempting and irresistible offers such that he would abandon his convictions and guarantee them conquest of Oguta LGA. Prince Dr Okafor Okafor had courageously refused the juicy gifts and instead had rallied a coalition of Progressives who defied insurmountable odds in what largely became a battle of containment of an infestation thus ending in the crushing defeat, collapse and dismantling of a once powerful hegemony that had held our people hostage for a long time.

In recognition of Prince Dr. Henry Okafor enormous contributions to the enthronement of Rescue Mission, His Excellency Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha had gone ahead to appoint the youthful Prince as the youngest Managing Director and chief executive officer of the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission(ISOPADEC).

The achievements of Prince Dr Henry Okafor while serving as the MD of ISOPADEC have been well acclaimed and documented. Chief of Staff to Imo State Governor, Chief Ugwumba Uche Nwosu in his accolades to the Lion of the Oil Kingdom had enthused that Prince Dr Henry Okafor had carried the office of the Managing Director of ISOPADEC as if he was the Minister of Petroleum. The successes of Prince Dr Henry Okafor are said to have been one of the factors that have continued to motivate His Excellency Owelle Anayo Rochas to continue to appoint youths into positions of leadership.

Prince Dr Henry Okafor had engaged the services of over 40 personal aides to run the bogus office of Chief Executive of ISOPADEC. His detractors had petitioned His Excellency Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha that such arrangement was very unhealthy and wasteful. But Prince Dr Henry Okafor had argued on the contrary and had told His Excellency that he had only six substantive special assistants on the payroll of the Commission and that the rest of his aides had been remunerated directly through his salary and allowances. And that he had endured personal pains and have made such sacrifices in order to continue to endear the Rescue Mission to the good people of oil producing areas.

Prince Dr Okafor had convinced His Excellency Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha to grant the approval for the Commission to build its own Secretariat instead of continuing operating from rented apartments and wasting scarce resources. The reward of this effort was the er****on of the magnificent ISOPADEC Tower--A four storey state-or-art building complex fitted with elevator facility, robustly furnished to world standard.

While Prince Dr Henry Okafor was the Managing Director of ISOPADEC, the oil region of Ohaji/Egbema and Oguta LGAs witnessed unprecedented peace and harmony. No single case of pipeline vandalization or communal strife was ever recorded. The secret of this achievement had been that Prince Dr Henry Okafor had rallied the entire youths of Oguta and Ohaji/Egbema irrespective of partisan differences behind the administration of His Excellency Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha. As a reward for their love, support and goodwill, Prince Dr Henry Okafor had increased the monthly subvention of ISOPADEC Youth chapters of Ohaji/Egbema and Oguta from pantry sum of N250k each to over N2Million. As if that was not enough, Prince Dr Henry was able to easily convince His Excellency Owelle Anayo Rochas to approve the N500M Youth Empowerment program for them.

The Traditional Ruler of Oil and Mineral Producing Communities of Nigeria (TROMPCON) Imo State Chapter, had their monthly subventions upped from N250k to N1M by Prince Dr Henry Okafor.

The women of the Oil producing areas of Ohaji and Egbema LGAs were not left out in the bouquet. Prince Dr Henry Okafor had gone ahead to establish ISOPADEC Women, a platform which receives monthly subvention of N400k in which funds are meant to carter for and empower widows and other less privileged women from the oil producing areas.

President Generals of oil communities who were never recognized before the arrival of Prince Dr Henry Okafor were rallied round under the umbrella ISOPALF and recieved monthly subvention of Prince Dr Henry Okafor.

ISOPADEC Management and Staff community received highest level of motivations and incentives. Apart from regular payments of salaries, many of the staffers received imprest funds.

Prince Dr Henry believes so much in talent hunt and discovery and one of his early projects as the Managing Director was the organization of a local football tournament in which the present Managing Director of ISOPADEC Prince Iyke Uwakwe was drafted as supervisor at that time to fish out raw football talents from the oil producing areas.

Miss ISOPADEC Pageantry which has provided the veritable platform for the exposures of brains and beauty from oil producing areas has been a creation of the Prince Dr. Henry Okafor.

The Nigerian Military at the 34 Artillery Brigade Obinze has not stopped being grateful to Prince Dr Henry Okafor for erecting a solid radiological building facility at the barracks clinic to house their x-ray equipments.

Prince Dr Henry Okafor had inherited backlogs of scholarship owed to students from oil producing areas and wasted no time in clearing the arrears. EEDC had cut electricity supply to oil producing areas throwing the region into pitch darkness. The ugly situation had lingered several years until the arrival of Dr. Henry Okafor who wasted no time to cleared the electricity bills which necessitated the reconnection of the oil producing areas back into the national grid and subsequent electricity supply that helped to spice 2012 yuletide festivity.

Impressed by the exploits of Prince Dr Henry Okafor at ISOPADEC, His Excellency Owelle Anayo Rochas had readied him for yet another challenge. This time at Imo State Housing Corporation. His Excellency Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha must have reasoned that the extent of decay and dilapidation of that moribund establishment would only require a person of sterner stuff to to turn things around. This had motivated His Excellency Owelle to draft Prince Dr Henry Okafor to that place.

What else could anyone expect if a round peg is put in a round hole? Prince Dr Henry Okafor adventures have completely turned around the fortunes of Imo State Housing Corporation. That establishment is gradually being positioned as we speak to emerge as one of the major revenue generators of the State Government.

Prince Dr Henry is an empowerment enigma. His main reason for venturing into politics is to empower his people. His establishing of groups such as Rochas Youth Rescue Movement, Niger Delta Youth Rescue Mission, Niger Delta Women For Peace Movement and Niger Delta Elders Council has always be to ensure that every segment of the society is carried along in the empowerment circle.

The entire story of Prince Dr Henry Okafor will not be told exhaustively today. Let's therefore pause at this time to ring the bell of blessings and blow the whistle of prosperity. Happy Birthday Man of many dreams. And immortal among men and a true Lion of the Oil Kingdom.

*Prince Dr Henry Okafor Buries Step Mother In Grand Style Amidst Fanfare*

The General Manager of Imo State Housing Corporation, Prince Dr. Henry Okafor, the Lion of the Oil Kingdom has joined his elder brother HRH Eze Franklin Cajethan Okafor and the good people of Ossemotor autonomous community to celebrate the worthy life of Late Mrs Joy Uzoamaka Okafor who was laid to rest on Friday.

The requiem service which was supervised by Rt. Rev Chijioke B.N Oti, Bishop Diocese on the Lake of the Anglican Communion Oguta, attracted large number of condolers and well wishers who came from far and near to comfort the family. Rev. Bishop Oti prayed for the Bereaved and encouraged them not to be dampened in spirit by the tragic loss but rather accept the passing of their matriarch as the ultimate will of God.

In his touching funeral oration, HRH Eze Franklin Cajethan Okafor (aka Ejiamatu) went down memory lane to eulogize the good deeds of his step mother, Late Dr Mrs. Joy Uzoamaka Okafor (Née Ebokosia). In one instance, Eze Ejiamatu recounted how Née Ebokosia had put herself in harm's way to save him from potential danger. According to Eze Ejiamatu, shortly after the end of the Nigerian Civil War, pandemonium had broken out around Oguta Lake area and people were running away to safer grounds. His biological mother Dee Maria (of blessed memory) had come to the house to extract him but the barricades of soldiers around their compound prevented her from reaching the house. The soldiers were not moved by the cries and emotional appeals of his helpless mother who thereafter resigned to fate unsure of what would happen to her six month old baby. But out of nowhere, his step mother appeared with him. Unknown to the soldiers, Née Ebokosia had sneaked into the compound undetected owing to her dexterity leading to his extraction to safety.

In his own tribute, Prince Dr Henry Okafor lamented that death had wrestled from their hands an excellent mother, a truly great, virtuous, religious and courageous woman, whose worth was far above jewels. Prince Dr Okafor in nostalgia, reminiscenced how Née Ebokosia tended to his father the Otacheraoha (1) (of blessed memory) throughout his long detention in prison and was quick to fill the large vacuum created by the exit of his biological mother Dee Maria with her immeasurable love and useful counsel.

Prince Dr Henry Okafor was before the interment presented with a knightly sword in conferment of an honorary membership of Knight of St. Christopher (KSC) of the Anglican Communion. We recall that Late Dr. Mrs Joy Uzoamaka Okafor until her death, was a very active member of KSC of the Anglican Communion.

Late Mrs Joy Uzoamaka Okafor was committed to the mother earth even as a cross section of the grief-stricken crowd remained inconsolable.

Dignitaries and everyone who came to the occasion were given warmest of reception. Chief of Staff to Imo State Governor, Chief Ugwumba Uche Nwosu who represented Imo State Governor His Excellency Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha urged the bereaved family to take heart and be largely comforted by the good legacies of their parted heroine.

Former Secretary to Imo Government, Chief Sir Jude Ejiogu and Former Deputy Speaker Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Pharmacist Ozoemena also offered their individual heartwarming condolences. A proud host of royal highnesses from TROMPCON (Imo State Chapter) was present. A high powered delegation from Nigerian Navy Headquarters was also in attendance with their sympathies.

Other VIPs who were present at the occasion included Hon. Henry Ezediaro, Member Representating Oguta State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. K**a Nwauwa, Imo NDDC Commissioner Designate, Hon. Jones Uzoka, ISOPADEC Chairman Designate, Hon. Sunny Chiadi, Immediate past TC Chairman of Okigwe LGA, Hon. Chris Oguoma, APC Zonal Chairman in Owerri Zone and his counterpart from Okigwe Zone Chief Onweyiagba, Prince Chijioke Madumere (elder brother to Imo State DGov), Hon. Felix Ubah, ISOPADEC Commissioner, Lady Mrs. Theresa Ohanuba, Imo APC Woman Leader, Hon. Casmir Ohamara, APC Chairman Oguta LGA, Deacon Donald Igbo, Engr. Peter Nwachukwu and Mr. Modestus Okeke of Eco Bank Nig. Ltd and a delegation of Imo State Housing Corporation among others.

FEMI FANI KAYODE: A SMALL FLY THAT WANTS TO BE KILLED WITH A SLEDGE HAMMER
By Comrade Jeff Nwaoha

For few days now, Fami Fani kayode has been running his mouth and of course raining infantile insults on the towering personality of His Excellency Ozo Igbo ndu Rochas Anayo Okorocha. One would rather wonder what could have ignited this unprovoked and unnecessary attacks or rather insults from this infant terrible, inconsequential and complete irritant Fani Kayode if not his struggling effort or attempt to be noticed since he is now occupying an obscure corner in his world having lost virtually everything in life. It is quite a pity!
At first, I did not want to give Fani kayode any attention nor do I subscribe to the idea of joining issues with this notorious brat because I believe that silence, they say will always be the best treatment to a fool. Honestly, I just saw the whole gibberish from Mr Fani Kayode as outright nonsensical and one coming from irresponsible man. I, just like many people initially dismissed him and feltthat replying him would amount to killing a small fly with a sledge hammer.
However, on second thought, I decided to now come out to wrap up that nonsense from this distasteful fellow and dumb him in the dustbin where his likes belong hence this little response to him.
I read where he gruesomely paraded what he felt was his sound parentage by alluding that even his fifth generation attended Cambridge University, of course, thanks to Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo while he erroneously claimed that Governor Rochas Okorocha only had a Diploma. This shows Fani kayode is still living in fool’s paradise for him to have described a man with Masters in Law from a reputable University in Nigeria as having only a Diploma .
Perhaps, unknown to him, by that statement alone, he aimed a sharp Dagger right at the very heart of his personality by proving that his entire linage have only known one aspect of the world- Cambridge.
All through his tantrum, he never mentioned that any of his lineages was or is a Governor, Senator, President, successful Businessman or woman etc nor has any soul from the entire Kayode family won any election before atleast to show that they can raise their head high in the society, all of these Governor Okorocha has acquired. None from his family was known by Nigerians as having made any remarkable marks in Nigeria except their prodigal and irresponsible son Fami Fani Kayode who has brought shame to the family by his loquaciousness and knack for insulting leaders and Elders.
Just because many people have now decided to ignore him because a lot of people already know that Fami was once a patient at a psychiatric home in Lagos, he still believes that the silence and dismisiveness with which he is being treated amounts to a meal ticket for him to continue to insult well meaning citizens of the country and beyond.
Maybe, I may need to educate this idiotic man that success is all about focusing the full power of all you are on what you have a burning desire to achieve. Your success in life does not necessarily depend on your background but what you have decided to make out of your background. Every ones destiny is unique. The fact that you are here does not mean that you can’t be there. Femi’s parents might have been there but today Femi is no longer there but Governor Okorocha whose parents were not there before is now comfortably enjoying his place here. Oh my God! Life is a lesson my dear Fami Fani Kayode.
Solomon said “ I returned and saw that under the sun that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong neither yet bread to the wise nor yet riches to men of understanding (I dear say Cambridge trained) nor yet to favour to the men of skill but time and chance happeneth to them all”
Governor Okorocha belongs to the class of specially bred and divinely packaged leaders in this country having risen from a son of an average man to a super successful leader while Fami Fani Kayode has his life nose-diving irredeemably in spite of his acclaimed aristocratic background. What a tragedy! I pity the young man.
I actually do not intend to waste so much of my time talking to a charlatan whose acclaimed father once openly disowned when he was in secondary school and who was rehabilitated by Obasanjo as Femi was languishing in Indian h**p smoking, hooliganism and was almost becoming a street urchin because of the Yoruba blood running in the former President otherwise how can Femi gather the courage to talk where the likes of Governor is talking. By every stretch of assessment, Femi and Okorocha are not equals, cannot be compared and like parallel lines can never meet together.
On one hand, femi Fani kayode is a man who never work for success but only manages to clutch on the outdated little image his parents garnered while on the other side, is a man in the person of Governor Rochas Okorocha who by dint of hard work, determination, foresightedness and above all, divine grace made it to the pinnacle of his life. A man who has singly handed built Secondary schools across the country where over five million Children of the poorest of the poor have so far benefited and are still benefiting cannot be equaled to a mere Cambridge trained as claimed. Infact, the entire Kayode linage put together cannot get 5o Kilometer close to where Rochas Okorocha is standing.
In short, let me save my energy and allow this reject of a man like Femi to continue with his tomfoolery. Ordinarily, a word should be adequate for the wise but I know Femi is not wise.
Jeff Nwaoha is the General manager of Imo ENTRACO.

GOVERNMENT OF IMO STATE
PRESS RELEASE

WHY WE HESITATED TO OFFICIALLY RESPOND TO FEMI FANI KAYODE’S UNPROVOKED & UNWARRANTED MEDIA ATTACKS ON THE PEOPLE’S GOVERNOR, OWELLE ROCHAS OKOROCHA.

Chief Femi Fani Kayode had thrown caution to the wind and unintelligently launched unprovoked and unwarranted media attack on the Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, for no other reason than the governor patriotically and harmlessly exercising the privilege of telling Nigerians and all men and women of goodwill, what transpired between the All Progressives Congress (APC) delegation and President Muhammadu Buhari in London.

If Chief Fani – Kayode had any problem with the visit or with the statements of Governor Okorocha, he would have dealt with such issues without going personal against Governor Okorocha.
And on our part as responsible people, we had delayed in responding to Kayode’s attacks or hesitated in joining issues with him because most Nigerians had before now, doubted his intelligent quotient and had also called for certain clinical examinations.

Again, there is obviously a very wide gulf between a man who has succeeded in every segment of life through the dint of hardwork and indeed, by God’s grace and someone whose only claim in the society or his only meal ticket is the late father’s name.

And we also know that spoiled and over pampered children do not know what it takes to have self-discipline and respect for others. They see everybody as ice-cream, tom-tom, yogurt and indomie noddle. Hence they can abuse anybody not minding the gaps.

Rochas Okorocha has succeeded in business, in politics, in education and as governor without brandishing any name except God. And he has always claimed that even his achievements as governor in six years have superseded or exceeded the achievements of all those who had governed the state before him put together. And has challenged anybody with contrary view to come forward so that they can compare notes.

The problem with Nigeria politics is that everybody is equal. And that is why a man whose story in life begins and ends with the father’s and grandfather’s names would be abusing someone who began life as a street hawker and ended up being a governor and a successful man both in business and in other areas of life and also has Masters Degree in law of the University of Jos without parental contributions. They are two different scenarios.

In his profile, Kayode talked about his coming from a “prominent Nigerian family”. Talked about his great-grandfather, Rev. Emmanuel Adedapo Kayode, and his grandfather Victor Kayode who studied law at Cambridge University and ended up a Judge. Then his father, Victor Adetokunbo Fani Kayode, also a Cambridge product and a “prominent political figure” then.

And for him, at the age of eight (8) he was already at Brighton College, Brighton in the UK and also studied law at London University. And one can see that what Africans call “native sense” might have eluded him. And this “native sense” guides or helps one a lot including how to talk to people especially superiors.

For Rochas Okorocha, he has no name to brandish or showcase. His monumental achievements in business, politics, education, etal, could only be traceable to God’s awesome grace and hardwork. The differences between the two human beings are overtly obvious.

Finally, one would have thought that the excruciating damages inflicted on Dr. Goodluck Jonathan and the PDP as a party by this same guy would have humbled him. And I quote the scripture for him “if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God that giveth to all men and upbraideth not and it shall be given him” (James 1:5). To God be the glory.

Sam Onwuemeodo
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.
