BREAKING: Some Hotels and Resorts in Owerri Sealed by OCDA... ably led by Dr. Mrs. Chika Nnajiofor

The affected ones are:
*King's Dine, Port-Harcourt road
*Rapour, Amakohia
*Kinngs Park, Amakohia
*Kedeni Holiday, Akwakuma
*Prestige Exclusive, Works Layout

The management of the commercial outlets did not obtain an approval from the OCDA before erecting the structures, hence they were sued by the Authority.

Consequently, they refused to appear in court when ordered to do so. In view of the Contempt of Court, the Jury directly that the buildings should be sealed with immediate effect.

According to the court order, they were given 21-day ultimatum to comply, else the sealed structures shall face demolition.

The GM pleads with the public to be cooperative

The General Manager Hon. Barr. Obinna Amagwula has reiterated his preparedness to work with, as well as listen to, anyone provided the person is for good, thereby urged the public to be cooperative regarding any proposed construction work within the Owerri Capital Territory.

The GM who disclosed this on Thursday January 19, 2017 when he played guest to the famous Orient 94.4FM fact-finding programme - The Appointtee, went further to plead with people to always receive Plan Approval and Building Permit before erecting any structure. According to him, the governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha meant well for the Owerri Capital and Imo at large, thus as the GM of OCDA, he was ready to uphold the Governor's legacy.

The GM who went in company of the Director of Admin. and Finance Mrs. Edith Obijiaku and the Town Planning Director Mr. Austin Ukanwa equally asked people to continue praying for his team and the Rescue Mission in general.
