The story of Mark Anamelechi Chukwunwike Odu and his role in the Hijack of the Nigeria Airways fokker 27 NAAV on April 27, 1967 which later became Biafra's first plane.

In 1966, Mark Odu, a student leader in the University of Nigeria Nsukka, realized the Igbo people were in danger after the January coup, which didn't involve any prominent Igbo figures.
The July counter-coup led to mass killings of Ndi Igbo, culminating in two million deaths by 1970, pushing Mark Odu towards rebellion.

Odu confronted military leaders about the violence against his people, leading to student demonstrations with support from various unions.

His activism played a role in influencing Lt. Col. Ojukwu to declare the Biafran Republic.
Odu and six others were then trained in guerrilla warfare and explosives, preparing them for more direct action against the Nigerian government.

They included Lt. Col. Chude Sokei, Lt. Col. Obioha, Airline Captains FA Osakwe and Ibikare Allwell-Brown of Nigeria Airways, the scientist Inyagha, Messrs Odu, Onuora Nwanya, Goddy Ikwuazor and Allison Okeke.

Amongst this people, only four operatives, Inyagha, Ibikare, Nwanya and Odu, did the actual hijacking. Odu was the youngest but Military Intelligence asked him to head the operation for his courage.

Lt. Col. Ojukwu then authorized the hijacking of a plane to acquire assets and secure a means of transportation for potential diplomatic efforts.
For the Hijack, diverse group assembled, including military officers and airline captains, with Mark Odu appointed as the youngest leader due to his bravery.

Odu and his team prepared for the hijacking, they secured plane tickets and accommodations in Benin.

On April 23, 1967, during a flight, Inyagha storms the cockpit with a gun, forcing the pilots to change course to Enugu.
Odu and his team reassured the passengers that no one will be harmed and that they would arrange transport for their return after reaching Enugu.

Odu was satisfied with their successful operation, noting they took control of a plane from Nigeria Airways making Biafra the first black nation to successfully Hijack a plane.

Odu was later captured and imprisoned for more than 2 years.

Nze Mark Anamelechi Chukwunwike Odu is very well and alive and is currently the traditional ruler of Amaohuru, Nguru Mbaise.

Hon.Franklin Uzoma Ibeh (Mr. Talk and do) as we know him, is from Oboama (Ezi-west), Ezinihitte Mbaise, Imo State. As a matter of fact, he is one of the most vibrant, articulate, humble, accessible, wise and intelligent son of Ezinihitte. As a promising, well-meaning and educated young man, he strongly believes in the growth and development of Ezinihitte State Constituency and He is God-fearing, humane and does not promote political thuggery and touting. Hon. Franklin Uzoma Ibeh is eloquent and people-oriented. He is an entrepreneur, a wealth and job creator who is anxious to make great positive impacts in our society. He is kind-hearted and strongly believes in equity, rule of law, fairness and justice. He is trustworthy and transparent in all he does.

To crown it all, Hon. Franklin Uzoma Ibeh is very respectful and always focused. How else do we describe this great, wise and intelligent son of Ezinihitte? He is not a braggadocio. He is cool headed and never vindictive or aggressive. As a well-meaning and progressive young man, Hon.Franklin Uzoma Ibeh detests politics of hatred, bitterness and aggressiveness.

Looking at his rich Manifesto,Hon.Franklin Uzoma Ibeh is calling on the good people of Ezinihitte Mbaise to encourage, support and vote him for the total growth and development of our Constituency. He will sincerely EMPOWER our youths/women for a better tomorrow.

The primary assignment of every Lawmaker is to be the mouthpiece, eyes and ears of his/her people. Hon.Franklin Uzoma Ibeh will surely do well to use his position as a State Lawmaker to influence developmental projects in Ezinihitte Mbaise. He will never be accountable to any individual. Rather, his aims shall be to attract quality road constructions, infrastructural development and good health care system through sustainable Health Programme which will really make life easy for every constituent, especially our pregnant women and new born babies in various communities are KEY to his determination. He also has education packages and programs on his table for our students and pupils. Hon.Franklin Uzoma Ibeh also has interest in the redistribution of wealth through lasting empowerment programs.

It is crystal clear at the moment, that Ezinihitte has no vibrant Lawmaker at the State Assembly. Who shall then attract visible and developmental projects like Higher Institution(s) to Ezinihitte ? Who exactly shall eloquently speak for the good people of Ezinihitte Mbaise? Hon.Franklin Uzoma Ibeh is people-oriented. He knows his people and really understands their needs. He is fearless and shall not remite Ezinihitte Mbaise State Constituency Project Funds into any individual's account. Political godfatherism has caused us more harm than good in Ezinihitte State Constituency and entire communities. We shall no more allow selfish individuals to force another Representative on us.

My good people! We are no more interested in excuse oriented politicians. We are tired of story-telling individuals who think they can get our people through their fallacious Manifesto.Hon.Franklin Uzoma Ibeh as an honest young man, cannot promise us Heaven on earth. Rather, he has about five or six packages which we sincerely believe are the major problems of our people. Lots of communities in Ezinihitte Mbaise still contribute money to repair or buy electric transformers. Yet, our people at home suffer total blackout most of the time. Non of our Representatives has volunteered to even grade our local roads especially, during the festive seasons let alone influencing standard construction of a single road. We are not castigating anyone, but it is good we advise our people to be wiser come 2023 and make sure we sincerely know what every candidate has on the table for us.

While at the Green Chamber, Hon.Franklin Uzoma Ibeh will not be there for only the people in his political party. Rather, the needs of entire people of Ezinihitte Mbaise State Constituency shall be his primary concern. Come 2023, we shall no more vote political parties. Rather, we shall vote Candidate according to his/her COMPETENCE. Therefore, it is good we let every Candidate know that exaggerated/fallacious Manifesto cannot deceive our people in any way. Because we are wiser this time. It is now or never! 2023 is the time to get it right at every Level. And we have really known those with genuine blueprint and those who are out for "the more you look, the less you see."

The good people of Ezinihitte Mbaise are radically Happy! A New Ezinihitte Mbaise State Constituency is very much possible.

Being people who believe in equity, fairness and justice, we sincerely cannot support someone from Ezi-East again for State House of Assembly.

Ezi-East has been representing Ezinihitte Mbaise at the State House of Assembly for the past eight years with nothing to show. The good people of Ezinihitte Mbaise are in total regret to have been forced by a few selfish individuals to produce both Hon. Bruno Ukoha and Hon. Anyadike as State House of Assembly members respectively,Ezinihitte Mbaise State House of Assembly for competent representation or used as a settlement package to individuals? The poor representation in Ezinihitte is being caused by a few political buccaneers who think only them owns entire Ezinihitte.

As a matter of fact, we expect mandates for the State House of Assembly and to be Ezi-West come 2023. Therefore, let no one sell his/her vote or conscience for selfish interest. 👏

We call on every well-meaning and progressive sons/daughters of Ezinihitte Mbaise to promote equity, fairness and justice by saying NO to injustice. Let us say NO to the political lepers in Ezinihitte.

Hon.Franklin Uzoma Ibeh is trustworthy and transparent. He cannot be the monkey that finished the water given to him and turns out refusing to release the cup.
