My good people of Osun State, I, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, your beloved governorship candidate under the Accord hereby extend my profound heartfelt gratitude to various individuals, traditional rulers, religious organizations, public and private workers, agencies of government, media outfits, students, market women, artisans, various tribes residents in Osun State, security agencies and others too numerous to mention for their supports in several forms given to me at the Just concluded election of Saturday, July 16th, 2022.
I also earnestly thank my various dependable party loyalists and of special mention is my very loyal running mate, Alhaji Kunle Jimoh, the State Party Chairman, Pastor Victor Akande and other party stakeholders at state and local government levels and our ad-hoc staff, the Director-General and various sub-head units who assiduously worked days and nights during the build-up to the election and during the election day. You have all done wonderfully well.
I also salute the courage of my fellow contenders at the polls for their individual activities displayed towards the service of the good people of the Osun State. I use this medium to congratulate the Osun State Governor-Elect, Distinguished Senator Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke for his victory at the polls.
To all the electorates, I cannot thank you enough for the maturity displayed both before the election and during the election day which was devoid of lawlessness, destructiveness and ensure peaceful conduct of the election by the INEC.
Please, note that I shall continue to hold all of you in high regards and esteem in my heart.
Osun State is matching on and the gate of hell shall not overcome her.
I remain firmly in Accord and we shall continue to contribute our quotas as been done before now through IDERA DE and Arubiewe foundation.

Breaking: ADC, SDP patriots endorse Akin Ogunbiyi, Accord.

The State Working Committee of African Democratic Congress (ADC), Osun State at its emergency meeting held on Thursday, at Osogbo has resolved to support the Accord Candidate, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi.
In a press statement signed by the State Chairman of the Party, Dr. Charles Omidiji and the state Youth leader, Ayoola Ige, the party painstakingly looked at all the governorship candidates before endorsing Ogunbiyi.
Part of the letter reads: “That after a very careful evaluation of all the candidates, resolved to throw her support in favor of Dr Akin Ogunbiyi, the Candidate of ACCORD in the elections and form an alliance.
“The decision to support Dr Akin Ogunbiyi is based on his sterling qualities, rich entrepreneurial experience and leadership traits which we believe is much needed today in the governance of Osun State particularly considering the poor state of affairs of the State.
“Consequently, based on the foregoing, all members of the African Democratic Congress, Osun State are hereby directed to vote for the ACCORD Candidate, Dr Akin Ogunbiyi in the 16th July Gubernatorial Elections.
“We are hopeful that our support for Dr Akin Ogunbiyi, the ACCORD candidate in the forth coming elections will be a boost to the emergence of a new Osun State”.
In a related development, leader of the State Chapter of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Elder Olufemi Awe has stated reasons why majority of his party members jettisoned SDP to support Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi of Accord.
Awe, who was the first Secretary of SDP in the state spoke during a live conference on Friday as he recalled how in 2014, the party came into prominence when the state former Head of Service, Mr. Femi Akinwusi contested as its governorship candidate.
He revealed that in 2018, he along with Ambassador Yemi Farounbi and Akinwusi met Ogunbiyi to beg him to come forward and contest under the SDP platform but the discussion then was unfruitful.
Awe said, SDP was doing well and mobilizing people until the coming of APC-SDP elements who came to highjacked the party, “and their remnants are still in the party now running around and planning to contest”.

The Council of Imams in Osogbo and Olorunda Local governments has thrown its weight behind Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, the governorship candidate and Imam Kunle Jimoh, the deputy-governorship candidate of Accord.
In a statement issued by Imam Rasheed Sulaiman, the Secretary of the group also known as Waliuthabau, said the decision was taken because of the integrity of the two candidates.
He added that, another major reason why the Imams queue behind the duo was because the Accord deputy governorship candidate was the Chairman of the group before his emergent as Ogunbiyi’s running mate.
“Imam Kunle Jimoh was the chairman of Waliuthabau in Osogbo and Olorunda Local governments. He is honest man, trustworthy and diligent.
Alhaji Kunle Jimoh is also a pious Muslim, although he can never tolerate nonsense. If you vote for you, you vote for Islam.
“We are using this opportunity to appeal for all Muslims in Osun state to please vote for Accord during the Saturday’s election”, the statement reads.

" It is important to follow God’s lead and be fully committed to nation building in order to safeguard the interests of all, especially those who are at the receiving end of bad political decisions and inept leadership 
I assured the good people of Osun of my commitment to keeping the promises made during my campaigns across the state and i urge them to put aside all prejudices and elect me on July 16 in order to reposition the state.
