‎The State Executives and Local Government Coordinators of the Osun State Community Development Council (CDC) have passed a vote of confidence in the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke, citing clear progress in community development and responsive governance across the state.

‎The decision was reached at a strategic meeting attended by CDC's leadership from all local government areas. After a detailed review of ongoing projects and government interventions at the grassroots level, the council unanimously endorsed Governor Ademola Adeleke for a second term in office.

‎The Council stated that the administration has maintained consistent engagement with community structures, including Community Development Associations, traditional institutions, youth groups, and women leaders. Members noted that this approach has improved coordination, strengthened local participation, and ensured that government policies align with the needs of the people.

‎According to the Council, key areas of impact include rehabilitation of rural infrastructure, support for community-driven projects, and improved access to basic services in underserved areas. ‎During his visit, Hon. Sulaimon held strategic meetings with key community stakeholders, including traditional leaders, Community development associations representatives, youth groups, and women leaders across Ejigbo.

OSUN STATE GOVERNMENT ORGANISES TRAINING WORKSHOP FOR UNCONVENTIONAL SECURITY GROUPS

‎The Osun State Government, through the Ministry of Rural Development and Community Affairs, has organised a one-day training workshop for unconventional security groups across the state, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen community-based security and promote peaceful coexistence.

‎The workshop, held at the Local Government Service Commission Hall, Abere, brought together members of various unconventional security outfits operating at the grassroots level. It focused on enhancing their capacity in intelligence gathering, conflict resolution, community engagement, and effective collaboration with conventional security agencies.

‎Participants were also sensitised on professionalism, respect for human rights, and the importance of operating within the ambit of the law.

‎Chairing the training, the Honourable Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs, Alhaji Ganiu Ola-oluwa Asejere, reaffirmed the commitment of the Ademola Adeleke-led administration to safeguarding lives and property across Osun State. He described unconventional security groups as critical partners in maintaining peace and security, especially at the community level.

‎Alhaji Asejere noted that the training was designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to discharge their duties more effectively and responsibly. He urged them to see themselves as ambassadors of peace and to always work in synergy with formal security agencies in the interest of the state.

‎According to him, “Security is a collective responsibility. The government recognises the vital role unconventional security groups play in our communities, and this training is part of our resolve to support, regulate, and professionalise their operations for the overall safety of our people.”

‎Participants at the workshop expressed appreciation to the Osun State Government for the initiative, describing it as timely and impactful. They pledged their continued support for the government’s security architecture and their readiness to apply the lessons learned in their respective communities.

‎The Ministry of Rural Development and Community Affairs reiterated that similar engagements and capacity-building programmes would be sustained to ensure a safer and more secure Osun State for all residents.

‎The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Community Engagement, Hon Sulaimon Musa Olalekan met with community leaders across Iwo town to discuss governance, development, and the future of Osun State.

‎The engagement held in Iwo brought together traditional leaders, youth representatives, women leaders, and opinion molders from Iwo Central, Iwo West and Iwo East, The focus was clear, Review ongoing projects, Listen to concerns, Strengthen grassroots coordination.

‎During the meeting, leaders assessed the performance of Gov. Ademola Adeleke since he assumed office in 2022. They referenced road rehabilitation projects, payment of salary backlogs inherited from the previous administration, and rural infrastructure interventions.

‎Several speakers noted that regular salary payments have improved local economic activity. Traders in Iwo reported more stable patronage. Youth leaders acknowledged increased inclusion in state programs. Community representatives also cited ongoing road works linking Iwo to neighboring towns as critical for trade and mobility.
