Cheers! It's our pleasure to welcome you to DIGI-Real Library Initiative! DIGI-Real Library Initiative is targeted at eradicating digital illiteracy and poor reading culture among primary school pupils in low income communities.
It has been discovered overtime that many learners in rural communities don't have access to both digital and real (physical) library and this is one of the leading cause of poor academic performance among them.
Teach for Nigeria Fellowship is a transformational leadership program that equips it's fellows with transferable skills to effect change beyond the classroom in the community we serve.
As a second year fellow placed at community International Primary School, Imeko, Ogun State we have identified lack of good reading culture and poor literacy skill as a disheartening challenge among learners within our placement community.
We therefore wish to embark on this project titled DIGI-Real Library Initiative, which we believe will solve the challenge of poor reading culture and facilitate good academic performance, likewise the learners will not lag behind in the 21st century digital skills but will be able to compete with their peers in other part of the world.
