*Do you know about Pa Josiah Olawoyin?*

He was the Asiwaju of Offa in old kwara state when he was alive.
He was the foundational Publicity secretary and one of the founders of United Middle belt Congress (UMBC) in 1953.
Pa Olawoyin was also the general secretary of the league of Northern Yorubas in the Northern region. This was the organization that gave the platform that brought the Ilorin, Oyo, Okun, Akoko, Ekiti and Igbomina Yorubas under the same umbrella in the then Northern region.
He was the leader of the opposition against Ahmadu Bello in the Northern region. Ahmadu Bello offered him a Ministerial position in order to seek his allegiance towards the Sokoto hegemony, he refused and said he will never sell out the Yoruba race and he will never betray Chief Obafemi Awolowo.
Pa Olawoyin was the administrative secretary of Offa descendants union. When Ahmadu Bello deposed the Olofa of offa because of his Pro Yoruba activities and stopped the salary of the Olofa of Offa, it was Pa Josiah Olawoyin that rallied Offa people both home and abroad to contribute money for the Olofa of offa in exile so that the Oba will not suffer.

Pa Olawoyin was part of the Yoruba leaders together with Awolowo that the Nigerian state jailed for treason in 1963 in order to destroy the Action group and stop the ideological struggle of the western region which was spreading amongst the ethnic Minorities of the Northern region and the Eastern region.

He was a lawyer and contested for Governorship under the UPN in Kwara state in 1979.
He died in the year 2000.
These are the men who went to war against mortal enemies of the Yoruba race and people in Nigeria in order to protect our people from internal colonialism and subjugation by people hiding under one Nigeria.

Pa Olawoyin was one of the pioneers of the middle belt identity and middle belt political movement.
May he continue to rest in peace.
