Anambra West TC Chairman Nnazor Takes Oath Of Office, Promised To Key Into Governor's Vision.

The new Transition Committee Chairman Anambra West LGA Hon. Fidelis Nnazor has promised to align his administration with the vision of the state Governor.

Speaking shortly after his inauguration yesterday 5 July 2024 at the state House Awka, Mr. Nnazor thanked God for making the event a successful one, promised to uphold the values of transparency, accountability, and good governance.

Mr. Nnazor highlighted his plans to prioritize the needs of ndi Anambra, expressed his commitment to key into the vision of the state governor, pledging to work diligently towards the development and progress of Anambra West Local Council.

He disclosed that his administration would run an all-inclusive Government in line with the mantra of "Onye Aghana Nwanne Ya" of All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA, to ensure that Anambra West was not left out in the transformative agenda of the state government.

The new Anambra West Mayor who thanked Mr. Governor for finding him worthy to serve, and contribute his quota towards the development of the local council, appealed for unalloyed support from Ndi Anambra West to succeed in the onerous task.

Mr. Nnazor further assured Anambra West APGA of good cordial relationship to increase the party's numerical strength in the council to ensure that Governor Soludo is re-elected for the good work to continue.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by government officials, traditional rulers, party Stakeholders, community leaders, and residents of Anambra West, who expressed optimism on the new administration and its potential to bring positive change to the local council.(MOI).

Former Anambra West TC Chairman Ikechi Congratulates Governor Soludo on Governor of the Year Award.

The immediate Past transition Committee Chairman Anambra West Local LGA, Hon. Felix Ikechi, has congratulated Governor Charles Chukuwma Soludo on his recent accolade as Governor of the Year on Infrastructure and rural development by Champions Newspaper's.

The award was given in recognition of
Governor Soludo's outstanding performance, efforts and commitment in transforming the state through significant infrastructure projects and initiatives focusing on rural development.

Ikechi, in a congratulatory message released through his Media Office, commended Governor Soludo for his remarkable achievements in the State, noting that the accolade is a testament to Mr. Governor's unwavering commitment to driving positive change and laying a solid foundation for continued advancement of the state.

He noted that Governor Soludo's visionary leadership and strategic planning have greatly impacted the lives of ndi Anambra, especially those in rural areas including Anambra West.

Mr. Ikechi praised the governor's dedication and unwavering commitment to ensuring sustainable development in the state, noting that his relentless commitment to enhancing infrastructure and uplifting rural communities has not gone unnoticed, hence the award by Champions Newspaper's.

Former Anambra West boss further disclosed that Under Governor Soludo's administration, key Infrastructural projects have been prioritized and successfully implemented, paving the way for sustainable progress and prosperity across the state.

He congratulated the Governor and expressed confidence in his ability to continue delivering on promises and implementing progressive initiatives that will further enhance the development of Anambra State and urged various stakeholders, civil society organizations, private sector and citizens, to keep supporting Mr Governor's vision geared towards building a prosperous and progressive Anambra State.

Anambra Deputy Speaker Okoye Visits Anambra West, Lauds Governor Soludo On Purposeful Leadership.

The Deputy Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly Right. Hon. Chukwuma Okoye has Commended Governor Chukuwma Soludo for transforming the State into a model of good governance and sustainable development.

Hon. Okoye made the commendation when he visited Anambra West Local Council Secretariat Nzam and expressed his appreciation for the commitment and dedication of Governor Soludo in prioritizing the welfare and well-being of the people of Anambra State.

He described Governor Soludo as a visionary leader who has shown serious commitment towards the progress of Anambra, as well as great zeal in driving developmental initiatives and improves the welfare of citizenry.

Rt. Hon. Okoye appealed to Ndi Anambra West to keep supporting the administration of the Governor for more democratic dividendsin Anambra West and the state in general.

On his part, the Member representing Anambra West Constituency in the State House of Assembly and Chairman House Committee on Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Hon. Patrick Udoba described Governor Soludo as a pace setter who has brought democracy
dividends to the door steps of Ndi Anambra West.

Earlier in his welcome speech, The Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra West LGA Hon. Felix Ikechi thanked the Deputy Speaker for the visit which he said symbolized a gesture of support and solidarity, and underscored the government's dedication to advancing the welfare and prosperity of all Ndi Anambra under Governor Soludo's administration.

Mr. Ikechi asserts that Anambra West has been transformed by Mr. Governor's purposeful leadership and numerous impactful achievements.

He enumerated some of the achievements scattered all over the local council to include the Mmiata-Nzam road, gigantic administrative block building, reticulated solar powered water Boreholes, Ongoing General Hospital at Oroma, Healthcare facilities at Umueze Anam, Oroma and Odekpe respectively.

Others include renovated Science laboratory building at Umuem Anam, free education for pupils, Umueze Anam jetty among others, noting that more impactful projects would be recorded soonest.

The Traditional ruler of Nzam Community, Igwe Joseph Alokwu commended Governor Soludo for the completion of Mmiata-Nzam road project, and appealed for the extension of the road to Otedemaka to Inoma Community.

Anambra West Local Council Chairman, Ikechi, Extends Easter Greetings to Ndi Anambra West

In a gesture of goodwill and solidarity, the Chairman of Anambra West Local Government Area, Mr. Felix Ikechi, has extended warm Easter Felicilations to the people of Anambra West.

In a message released through his Media office, Mr. Ikechi conveyed his best wishes for a joyous and peaceful Easter celebration to all residents of Anambra West.

The Anambra West Mayor emphasized the significance of Easter as a time of reflection, renewal, and unity, highlighting the importance of coming together as a community to share in the spirit of hope, compassion, and solidarity.

"On this joyful occasion of Easter celebration, I want to take a moment to extend my warmest wishes to each and every one of us.
This special time of the year brings with it a sense of renewal, hope, and unity, and it is my sincere hope that these sentiments resonates within our community" Ikechi said".

He encouraged Ndi Anambra West to embrace the values of love, tolerance, and understanding and use this special occasion to strengthen their bonds with family, friends, and the community at large

NCWS Anambra West Chapter Visits Anambra West Boss Ikechi At Nzam.

In celebration of the International Day for Women, the National Council for Women Societies (NCWS) of Nigeria, Anambra West Chapter yesterday 7th March 2024 paid a courtesy visit to the Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra West Local Government Area, Hon. Felix Ikechi in his office at Local Nzam.

The International Day for Women, observed annually on March 8th, serves as a global platform to recognize women's achievements, promote gender equality, and advocate for women's rights.

Speaking during the visit, the president of the society, Mrs. Nkiru Ndive said that they came to intimate the Anambra West Mayor on the various activities lined up in celebration of the day in Anambra West.

She disclosed that National Council for Women Societies of Nigeria (NCWS) is a non-governmental organization founded in 1958.

The organization works closely with the government and other stakeholders to ensure that women's issues are addressed and that policies and programs are implemented to improve the lives of women in Nigeria.

Mrs. Ndive emphasized the need for continued efforts to empower women in Anambra West, and highlighted the various initiatives undertaken by the NCWS Anambra West Chapter to uplift women and address gender disparities.

She stressed the importance of education, healthcare, and economic opportunities for women, noting that empowering women ultimately leads to the development of the society.

Mrs. Ndive commended Hon. Ikechi for his commitment towards addressing gender disparities in Anambra West, noting that the society is ready to partner with the local council to address gender issues.

In his welcome speech, Hon. Ikechi expressed gratitude for their visit, and acknowledged the vital role women play in any society, noting that any society that wants to progress must put women on the forefront.

He described women as pillars of every home, society and Community, stressing that women are now independent, goal-getters, achievers, and that it is high time the society gave women the chance to take their rightful place for more progress to be achieved.

The Anambra West Mayor commended Governor Chukuwma Soludo for implementing the 35 percent affirmation action for women in Anambra state, as his administration is committed towards actualizating such feat in Anambra West.

He assured the NCWS delegation of his commitment to supporting gender equality initiatives and pledged to collaborate with the organization to implement programs that would benefit women in Anambra West.

Highlight of the visit was the honouring of Hon. Ikechi by the NCWS in recognition of his commitment towards addressing gender disparities in Anambra West.

Anambra West Boss Ikechi, Interacts with APGA Ward Women Leaders

In a bid to strengthen the political landscape and foster inclusivity, the Transition committee Chairman of Anambra West Local Government Area, Mr. Felix Ikechi yesterday Feb, 22 2024 met with the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) ward women leaders.

The meeting which took place at the local government secretariat, Nzam provided a platform for the women leaders to familiarize with the chairman, voice their concerns, share ideas geard towards contributing to the development of the local government area.

Speaking during the visit, the Leader of the delegation and the Local Council APGA woman Leader, Mrs Nneka Nwachigwe disclosed that they came to familiarize with the chairman and share ideas on how to improve women's participation in the party operations.

She commended the chairman for his leadership and support for the women and the party, as well as his commitment to the development and progress of Anambra west.

Responding, Hon. Ikechi expressed appreciation to the women leaders for their support and contributions to the success of the APGA party in Anambra West.

He acknowledged their significant roles in mobilizing support for the party and emphasized the importance of their involvement in decision-making processes.

Hon. Ikechi assured them of his commitment to working with them to ensure continuous growth and development of the party in the local government.

Jubilation In Igbedor As Anambra West TC Chairman, Ikechi Commissions Reticulated Solar Powered Water Borehole

It was an atmosphere of joy and excitement at Igbedor in Olumabansa Community as they recieve the solution touch of a reticulated solar-powered drinkable water borehole.

The borehole was commissioned today 20th Feb, 2024 by the Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra West Local Government Area, Mr. Felix Ikechi to the admiration of a large crowd of residents who came out to celebrate the great milestone and achievement.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Mr. Ikechi expressed delight at the completion of the project, noting that it was part of his administration's commitment to providing potable drinking water to the people under the Anambra West Integrated Development Strategy.

"I am happy to commission this borehole today. This is another milestone in our quest to provide clean and safe drinking water to our people. We have done this in Umuoba-Aboegbu, Owelle, Inoma and Ukwalla Communities, Abiator farm settlement in Umuikwu Anam and now igbedor". Ikechi said.

He disclosed that the borehole is equipped with high-efficiency solar panels that harness the abundant sunlight to generate electricity, and that its renewable energy source ensures a continuous and eco-friendly drinkable water supply.

The Anambra West Mayor further said that his administration was committed to ensuring that every community in Anambra West has access to potable drinking water, and thanked Governor Chukuwma Soludo for his commitment towards making the local council liveable, secure and prosperous, urging Ndi Anambra West to keep praying and supporting the present government for more dividends of democracy.

He therefore appealed to the community to take ownership of the project to ensure its sustenance, promising that his administration would continue to partner with communities to ensure that more social amenities are attracted and delivered.

Some of the resident who spoke to the press, including Mr. Obulum James, Barr. Kenneth Obulum and APGA woman Leader of Anambra West, all expressed gratitude to Governor Soludo for keeping to his promise, when he visited the Community few months ago, noting that with the project, they can now have access to clean and safe drinking water.

They described the solar-powered water borehole as a beacon of hope and a testament to the council's dedication to improving the community's welfare, pledging total commitment and support to the present administration of Governor Soludo led administration to achieve more success.

Highlight of the ceremony was the cutting of tape by the Transition Committee Chairman, Mr. Ikechi.

Anambra West TC Chairman Ikechi, Interactes with APGA Party Ward Chairmen

In a bid to foster better relations, establish stronger connections, better communication, collaboration, and strategy within the All Progressives Grand Alliance party structure at the grassroots levels, the Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra West Local Government Area, Hon Felix Ikechi yesterday has held a productive interactive session with APGA Party Ward Chairmen at his office in Nzam.

The interactive session provided an opportunity for the Chairman to engage directly with the party's grassroots leaders, understand their concerns, and discuss strategies that would further strengthen the party's presence in their various wards.

Speaking during the event, the leader of the delegation who spoke through their Deputy Hon. Ekene Michael said that they came to familiarize with the Chairman, as well as share ideas for improving the party's operations.

Earlier in his welcome speech, Hon.Ikechi expressed his delight at the visit, saying that it was a step in the right direction towards building a stronger and more cohesive relationship between the party and the local government.

He emphasized the importance of unity and cohesion within the party, highlighting that a strong party structure at the grassroots level is crucial for effective governance and development

The Anambra West Mayor, acknowledged the significant role played by the Ward chairmen in mobilizing support for the party and ensuring its success during elections, and applauded them for their unalloyed commitment and dedication, urging them to continue their efforts in mobilizing support, fostering unity among party faithfuls.

Hon. Ikechi enumerated some of the impactful achievements of the Governor Chukwuma Soludo administration in Anambra West, to include, the ongoing Mmiata Anam-Nzam road, reconstruction and completion of new Administrative building at Nzam among others.

Other projects include, approval for the construction of an ultra modern General hospital at Oroma-etiti Anam which has commenced already, recruitment of 5000 teachers which Ndi Anambra West benefited, One youth Two skills Initiative, Anambra West rural electrification Project among numerous other impactful projects.

At the local government level, Hon. Ikechi disclosed that his administration in less than two years has renovated Christ the King College science laboratory at Umuem Anam, Comprehensive Health care Centre Umueze Anam, reconstructed Oroma-etiti, and Odekpe Primary Health care centers, renovation of old Administrative building, and Chairman's lodge at Nzam, drilled a reticulated Solar powered boreholes at Umuoba-Abegbu, Abiator farm settlement Umuikwu Anam and Olumabanasa Communities which includes Inoma, Owelle and Ukwalla respectively.

He further disclosed that Igbedor reticulated Solar powered water borehole was nearing completion with 80 percent of the job done, and that the construction of Anambra West jetty is still ongoing among others.

The engagement serves as a testament to the commitment of the Anambra West LGA leadership to strengthen the party's grassroots structure.
