NSCDC NIGER STATE COMMAND STRENGTHENS OPERATIONS WITH NEWLY RECEIVED TACTICAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL EQUIPMENT

The Niger State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has recorded a significant milestone in its ongoing efforts to enhance security operations with the acquisition and distribution of modern tactical gear and advanced technological equipment.
This development aligns with the strategic vision of the Commandant General, Prof. Abubakar A. Audi, mni, OFR, aimed at repositioning the Corps for improved service delivery, operational efficiency, and proactive response to emerging security challenges across the country.
Speaking during the official unveiling and handover of the equipment, the State Commandant, Suberu Siyaka Aniviye, reaffirmed the Commandβs commitment to leveraging the new assets to strengthen operational capacity and effectiveness.
He emphasized that the equipment will be strategically deployed to critical and high-risk areas across the state, particularly in combating illegal activities such as crude oil theft (illegal bunkering), illegal mining, and other security threats prevalent in difficult terrains including riverine and remote locations.
βThese modern tools will rejig, revamp, resuscitate, reposition greatly and enhance our operational capabilities, especially in navigating challenging environments and tackling criminal activities that threaten national assets and public safety,β the Commandant stated.
Commandant Aniviye further noted that the timely provision of the equipment demonstrates the proactive and visionary leadership of the Commandant General. He described Prof. Audi as a seasoned and result-oriented leader whose tactical expertise and commitment continue to drive meaningful reforms within the Corps.
The Command reassured residents of Niger State of its unwavering dedication to safeguarding lives, critical infrastructure, and national assets. It also reiterated its resolve to intensify surveillance, enforcement, and collaborative security efforts across all sectors.
"The newly acquired equipment is expected to significantly boost the morale of personnel while enhancing rapid response, intelligence gathering, and overall operational performance of the Command".
The NSCDC Niger State Command therefore calls on members of the public to continue to support its efforts by providing credible information that will aid in sustaining peace and security within the state.
