Yesterday marked a transformative milestone for the vulnerable Children in Niger State as stakeholders gathered for the Official Commissioning of the Remodeled ARC-P State Office and the Stakeholders Engagement Forum, themed “Strengthening Partnerships for Successful Implementation of the At-Risk Children Programme in Niger State.

This impactful gathering brought together key stakeholders committed to improving the lives of vulnerable children across the state and the recorded milestone celebrated alongside a high-level Stakeholders Engagement Forum.

The engagement brought together key stakeholders from government agencies, development partner/ organizations, traditional and religious institutions, and the private sector to address pressing challenges and explore collaborative solutions.

Speaking at the event, Her Excellency, Hajiya Fatima Mohammed umaru Bago, Wife of the Farmer Governor of Niger State and Chairperson of the Advisory Board of the At-Risk Children Programme (ARC-P), emphasized the need for strengthened partnerships and innovative collaborations to ensure no child is left behind and also reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to the welfare of vulnerable children and youth in the state.

Her Excellency also reiterated the seven core pillars of ARC-P: Agriculture, Health, Nutrition, Sports, Entrepreneurship, Education, and Incentivisation, urging all stakeholders to align with the programme for effective implementation and impactful results.

In a touching moment during the event, the Honourable Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Hon. Mustapha Ndajibo, in his remark stated his unwavering support, and praised ARC-P Team Lead, Hajiya Aisha Tafida, for her relentless dedication to the programme’s mission.

The Teamlead/Coordinator, Hajiya Aisha Tafida presented the Heroine Impact Prestigious Merit Award 2025 to Her Excellency in recognition of her steadfast advocacy and commitment to child welfare.

The event featured insightful panel discussions on implementation challenges and collaborative strategies, culminating in the official commissioning of the ARC-P State Office, strategically located beside the Women Multipurpose Centre, Minna. The new facility will serve as the central coordination hub for ARC-P initiatives across the state.

Goodwill messages were delivered by esteemed stakeholders including Hajiya Aminat Jummai Gimba, Founder of Farid Centre; Dr. Mathew Ahmed, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture; and others who pledged their continued support for ARC-P's mission.

Official Flag-off of Learning at the HUB & Distribution of Learning Materials to ARC-P beneficiaries

Today, under the leadership of our dedicated Team Lead, Aisha Umar Tafida Aisha Tafida, we officially launched Learning at the HUBs, distributing essential learning materials to beneficiaries.

As part of our commitment to holistic development, we also presented NiCare Enrolment Cards under the Niger state Contributory Health Agency ensuring access to quality healthcare services.

To strengthen community participation, we adopted a community-driven approach, engaging and sensitizing the community leaders of Barkin Saleh on the Programme impact.

Together, we are building a future where education & healthcare go hand in hand for every child, especially the vulnerable once.

Day 2 of ARC-P, Niger In-House Training a resounding Success

The momentum continues as we wrap up the impactful Day 2 of the in-house training. Today, we delved deeper into key topics such as Gender Issues and Inclusive Practices, Monitoring and Evaluation, Procurement Best Practices and using MIS for data and process management, equipping our team with the skills needed to drive excellence in staff roles.

We were truly honored to have the Honorable Commissioner, Niger State Planning Commission, grace the session with his presence.

In his remarks, he commended the initiative, emphasizing its alignment with the state’s vision for sustainable development and staff empowerment.
