Yesterday marked a transformative milestone for the vulnerable Children in Niger State as stakeholders gathered for the Official Commissioning of the Remodeled ARC-P State Office and the Stakeholders Engagement Forum, themed “Strengthening Partnerships for Successful Implementation of the At-Risk Children Programme in Niger State.
This impactful gathering brought together key stakeholders committed to improving the lives of vulnerable children across the state and the recorded milestone celebrated alongside a high-level Stakeholders Engagement Forum.
The engagement brought together key stakeholders from government agencies, development partner/ organizations, traditional and religious institutions, and the private sector to address pressing challenges and explore collaborative solutions.
Speaking at the event, Her Excellency, Hajiya Fatima Mohammed umaru Bago, Wife of the Farmer Governor of Niger State and Chairperson of the Advisory Board of the At-Risk Children Programme (ARC-P), emphasized the need for strengthened partnerships and innovative collaborations to ensure no child is left behind and also reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to the welfare of vulnerable children and youth in the state.
Her Excellency also reiterated the seven core pillars of ARC-P: Agriculture, Health, Nutrition, Sports, Entrepreneurship, Education, and Incentivisation, urging all stakeholders to align with the programme for effective implementation and impactful results.
In a touching moment during the event, the Honourable Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Hon. Mustapha Ndajibo, in his remark stated his unwavering support, and praised ARC-P Team Lead, Hajiya Aisha Tafida, for her relentless dedication to the programme’s mission.
The Teamlead/Coordinator, Hajiya Aisha Tafida presented the Heroine Impact Prestigious Merit Award 2025 to Her Excellency in recognition of her steadfast advocacy and commitment to child welfare.
The event featured insightful panel discussions on implementation challenges and collaborative strategies, culminating in the official commissioning of the ARC-P State Office, strategically located beside the Women Multipurpose Centre, Minna. The new facility will serve as the central coordination hub for ARC-P initiatives across the state.
Goodwill messages were delivered by esteemed stakeholders including Hajiya Aminat Jummai Gimba, Founder of Farid Centre; Dr. Mathew Ahmed, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture; and others who pledged their continued support for ARC-P's mission.
