CBM OFFICIAL UPDATE | BENUE STATE VISIT
In a landmark engagement that further solidifies the presence of the City Boy Movement (CBM) in North Central Nigeria, His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, the Executive Governor of Benue State, graciously hosted the Director General of CBM, Hon. Tosin Shoga; SSA to the President on Community Engagements (North Central), Hon. Abiodun Essiet; and CBM National Exco Chairman, Mr. Favour Abayomi at the Government House, Makurdi.
During the high-level meeting, Hon. Tosin Shoga expressed heartfelt appreciation to Governor Alia for the warm hospitality extended to the CBM leadership. He took the opportunity to brief the Governor on:
✅ The successful inauguration of the Benue State CBM Chapter and its leadership.
✅ Plans for the upcoming CBM North Central Summit & Empowerment 2025, which is set to take place in Benue State.
✅ The impressive development strides of the Governor, which CBM witnessed firsthand during the Day 1 tour of key projects across the state.
Governor Alia, in his response, commended CBM’s grassroots mobilization efforts and acknowledged the vital role the movement plays in supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR. He further appreciated Hon. Tosin Shoga and Hon. Abiodun Essiet for selecting Benue State as the host of the upcoming CBM North Central Summit & Empowerment 2025, assuring that his administration will provide 100% support to ensure its success.
The Governor boldly declared that the Benue Summit will be the "Mother of All CBM Zonal Summits," setting a new standard for political mobilization and youth engagement in the region.
Additionally, Governor Alia praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for making tough but necessary decisions in the best interest of the nation. He acknowledged the challenges of governance but emphasized that Tinubu’s leadership is laying the foundation for a stronger Nigeria.
The Governor also commended CBM’s Grand Patron, Mr. Seyi Tinubu, for his visionary leadership and for initiating the CBM Zonal Summits across all geopolitical zones. He described the initiative as a strategic move to empower young Nigerians, strengthen political participation, and ensure the sustainability of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
