*OJEMA FLAGS OFF DISTRIBUTION OF CHRISTMAS PALLIATIVES IN APA, AGATU, OTUKPO, MAKURDI*
*---Addresses APC Members, Traditional Rulers, cautions against discrimination*
The Member representing Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency, Chairman of House Committee on National Inland Waterways and Agatu Head-Pointman, *Chief. Hon. Pst Ojotu Ojema PhD, FESMI*, has officially flagged off the massive distribution of the 2025 Christmas Palliatives to his constituents in Apa, Agatu LGAs and those residing in Otukpo and Makurdi.
Speaking shortly before the commencement of the exercise in Ugbokpo, APA LGA Headquarters, the Federal Lawmaker commended the people of the Federal Constituency for their resilience, saying all the 128 polling units would be covered without discrimination on the basis of party affiliations.
Addressing Apa and Agatu Members of APC separately in Ugbokpo and Obagaji respectively, Chief Ojema appreciated them for their continuous support for the party, charging them to work together for the victories of President Tinubu, Gov Hyacinth Alia and his victory in 2027 so that, everyone could get the reward of his labour.
He assured the party of his unwavering support always.
Responding separately and similarly on behalf of their members, Hon Abel Omaluwa, Chairman of APC in Agatu LGA and Hon Joseph Akpode, thanked Chief Ojema for the massive distribution of Christmas packages, saying they were not surprised because it has been his usual trend since his emergence as the Federal Legislator representing the Federal Constituency
The Chairmen added that, his arrival to APC has transformed the low current in the party to full current, assuring the Federal Lawmaker of their total support for him, President Tinubu and Gov Alia.
They called on the Federal Lawmaker to support them in order to mobilize those without voters Cards to come out and be registered in the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration in the two Local Government Headquarters.
While addressing Apa and Agatu Traditional Rulers in Ugbokpo and Obagaji, the Aboh'Oche'K'Idoma said, his visit was to interface with them and keep them abreast of his journey so far.
"I am here to interact and update you on my journey so far because you sent me to represent you at the Green Chamber of the 10th National Assembly.
"Recall that, upon my resumption of office, I declared a State of Emergency of Human Capital Underdevelopment. So far, I have facilitated 42 Federal jobs for our youths, which is the first of its kind, I have constructed two asphalted roads, rehabilitated two roads, constructed 6-Classroom block at Methodist School Obagaji, constructed a jetty terminal at Ocholonya, gave scholarship to 658 tertiary students, paid tuition fees of 442 best students in all the secondary schools, empowered all the head boys and head girls in all the secondary schools, provided free registration of JAMB for all those who intended to further their Education, empowered hundreds of youths, women, men with tricycles, motorcycles, grinding machines, dryers, generators, tiller machines, supplied herbicides and fertilizers to farmers to mention but few", Ojema said.
The Federal Lawmaker further added that, what is keeping him going his his Character, Capacity and fear of God, saying he would do more if given opportunity to represent the people of Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency beyond 2027 as he has stabilized himself and gained recognition in the National Assembly, a trend he believes would be very beneficial to his constituents, thanking the Traditional Rulers for their support and royal blessings.
Responding on behalf of Apa and Agatu Traditional Rulers, the OdejoK'Apa, HRH Chief John Antenyi thanked Hon Ojema for coming to interface with them, describing him as the closest Reps Member to the Traditional Council
Chief Antenyi charged Ojema to continue with his outstanding performance, praying God to protect, guide and bless him and his wife.
Earlier in their separate speeches, the Clan Head of Achega, HRH Captain Dominic Ondachi, the Clan Head of Enungba, HRH Chief Jerry Ochola, the 3rd Class Chief of Agatu Central, HRH Chief John Agidani, 3rd Class of Ojope, HRH Chief Godwin Idu and that of Odugbo, HRH Chief Apostle James Ohepo, appreciated Hon Ojema for coming to identify with them at this yuletide period, being a great symbol and shining light of the Federal Constituency, adding that they would continue to pray for his success and wishing all the best.
Highlights of the exercise was the distribution of bags of rice to all 128 polling units in Apa/Agatu N200,000 to each of the 21 wards, cows and other items.
