This selfless act demonstrates his dedication to helping those in need and promoting the well-being of his community. As the 20th Shehu of the El-Kanemi dynasty, he has continued to build bridges of unity, peace, and cooperation among his subjects and other royalties. His commitment to education and empowerment has also been evident in his efforts to support the unemployed youth in his domain.

The Shehu of Borno, Alh. (Dr) Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai El-Kanemi CFR, has extended his condolences to the Emir of Gwoza, HRH Alh. Muhammad Shehu Timta, following the passing of his mother, Hajiya Asta Shehu Timta. She passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025, after an illness and was laid to rest at the Gwoza Emir's Palace in Gwoza town ¹.

The Shehu of Borno praised Hajiya Asta Shehu Timta as a pillar and great support to the Gwoza emirate, community, and the entire Borno State. He prayed for Allah to grant her eternal rest, forgiveness, and enlightenment, and to admit her into paradise.

RAMADAN PACKAGE: Shehu of Borno Distributes Essential Items to 3,557 Households

In a remarkable display of compassion and generosity, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Dr. Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al-Amin El-Kanemi (CFR, FNSE), the Shehu of Borno, distributed Ramadan packages to 3,557 households in Maiduguri Metropolitan Council and Jere Local Government.
