ITIRE–IKATE APC CONVENES LGA GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING AS HON. OLUWAFEMI DANIEL ODUNAYO TASKS PARTY FAITHFULS ON UNITY AND EFFECTIVE MOBILISATION AHEAD OF 2027 GENERAL ELECTIONS

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Itire–Ikate Local Council Development Area, has convened a General Assembly Meeting aimed at strengthening party unity, deepening internal cohesion, and laying a solid foundation for effective mobilisation ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
The meeting focused extensively on party campaign structures, early preparation, grassroots mobilisation, and other matters of strategic importance to the party.
In his address, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Oluwafemi Daniel Odunayo, charged party faithfuls and stakeholders to remain united, committed, and resolute in advancing the ideals, programmes, and vision of the APC.
He emphasised the need for early engagement with the electorate and a well-coordinated grassroots mobilisation strategy, stressing that electoral success will depend not only on political structures but also on the ability of party members to work together, resolve differences, and build a strong and effective grassroots network.
Hon. Odunayo further stressed the importance of genuine party unity, internal cohesion, and collective responsibility, urging leaders, stakeholders, and members to place the interests of the party above personal differences and remain committed to building a stronger political structure across Itire–Ikate and Surulere.
He called on party members to take the APC message to every ward, polling unit, street, and community, engage directly with the people, listen to their concerns, and ensure that the party’s achievements, programmes, and vision are clearly and effectively communicated to the electorate.
The meeting was also attended by prominent party leaders, including the Surulere APC Apex Leader, Chief D.O. Adenekan, and the Itire–Ikate APC LGA Chairman, Alhaji Sikiru Olaide-Eshilokun, who noted that the gathering was convened to foster unity, strengthen party cohesion, and deliberate on matters of mutual interest and importance to the party.
The party’s leadership reaffirmed the importance of sustained grassroots engagement, teamwork, discipline, and a well-coordinated campaign structure as essential components of the party’s preparations for the 2027 General Elections.
Prominent among those in attendance were the first Lady, Mrs. Vivian Odunayo, Hon. Hakeem Adisa Bangbola, Immediate Past Executive Chairman, Itire–Ikate LCDA; Hon. (Dr.) Ahmed Olanrewaju Apatira, MHR; Hon. Lanre Okunlola, ably represented by Hon. Fola Raheem; APC House of Assembly Candidate, Surulere Constituency II, Barr. Damilola Ayinde-Marshall; Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Olaoluwa Agbeyangi Andrew; Hon. Councillors; the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG); Hon. Afeez Lawal; Cabinet Members; LGA Executives; Ward Chairmen and Executives; Community Leaders; and numerous party faithfuls.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of the APC leadership and members in Itire–Ikate to maintaining party unity, strengthening grassroots structures, deepening engagement with the electorate, and working collectively towards a successful outing in the 2027 General Elections.
