The existence of Nigeria and its history has always been a taboo for public discussion with the lame excuse that we do not want to reopen old wounds. So we cover the old wounds under the sheet as we expect it to miraculously heal under the dress while watching new wounds reoccur at the same spot where the old wound lies.

Let's go back to our beginnings to see why and how yesterday affected today and how today's cracks may be repaired lest it creates a broken tomorrow.

One of the major propagandas flying in the air right now is is Alariifin (Rude or Disrespectful). That is a lie. A blatant lie. One of my lecturer, Mr. Olufemi Osuntoki, once said: "There's a difference between arrogance and pride" Ọ̀tọ̀ nìgbéraga, ọ̀tọ̀ ni ìmọ̀wọ̀n ara ẹni, ọ̀tọ̀ sì ni ìmọ-yì-ara-ẹni.
