Lagos State has announced a six-week traffic diversion for the Apongbon Bridge as repair works begin on both the bridge and its service lanes. The diversion will affect inbound and outbound traffic between the Mainland and the Island, and motorists are advised to anticipate delays and plan ahead. To ease movement, alternative routes such as Adeniji Road and the Ebute Ero corridor have been recommended to help reduce congestion during the repair window. Traffic officers will be stationed across key points to guide drivers, maintain order, and ensure smoother flow.
