It is with immense joy, pride, and unwavering confidence that I stand before you today to speak of a man of *Vision, Courage, Humility, and Dedication* — our Leader and true Servant of the people of Nasarawa State, under the banner of our great party, the *APC*.

As the African proverb says, *"A leader is like a shepherd; he stays behind the flock, letting the most nimble go out ahead, whereupon the others follow, not realizing that all along they are being directed from behind."*
Sen. Aliyu Ahmed Wadada embodies this wisdom. He is a leader who understands the trials and aspirations of the common people of Nasarawa State.

He believes, as *Nelson Mandela* taught us, that *"Leadership is not about the next election, it’s about the next generation."*
To him, Leadership is *NOT about power*, but about *Service, Sacrifice, Unity, Development, and Progress*. In the words of *Abraham Lincoln*, *"Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power."* Sen. Wadada has been tested, and he has chosen the path of service.

The people of Nasarawa State deserve a man of *Positive Action* — for our Youths, Women, Elders, Farmers, Business owners, Students, and for the holistic development of our dear state. Sen. Aliyu Ahmed Wadada is that answer.
As our Hausa elders say, *"Idan ka ga dabino ya yi yawa, ka san wanda ya shuka shi ya yi hakuri"* — _When you see abundant dates, know that the planter was patient._ His patience, consistency, and commitment are now yielding results for our people.

My dear people of Nasarawa State, *this is the hour for Transformation*. This is the time to rally behind a man of *Positive Action, Wisdom, Capacity, and a Heart for the People*. Sen. Wadada has demonstrated an unshakable commitment to *Peace, Education, Development, and Greater Opportunities* for the next generation.

As *John F. Kennedy* reminded us, *"A nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people."* Let us judge by his works, and let our judgment be unity.

Let us therefore remain *United, Peaceful, Focused, and Determined*, for as the proverb goes, *"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."*
*VICTORY belongs to the People.*

Together, we shall build a tomorrow where *every person has HOPE*, *every community has a VOICE*, and *every community experiences PROGRESS*.

Senator Wadada candidate to beat in 2027

In Nasarawa State politics today, one name keeps coming up when people talk about 2027, Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada. From the wards to the local governments, from the senatorial zones to Lafia, the story is the same. Wadada is the man to beat.

Senator Wadada did not just appear on the political scene. He worked his way up. He served two terms in the House of Representatives before moving to the Senate. Along the way, he built strong ties, from the village square to the highest offices in Abuja. This is not a man who was pushed forward by luck. He earned his place through years of steady service.

Some people say Wadada is only being pushed on the people of Nasarawa State, that he did not earn his place, that he is only riding on endorsement. This is not fair to him. Wadada's popularity was not bought.

It was built over many years by staying close to the people. His strength does not come from money. It comes from his bond with ordinary Nasarawa citizens, a bond built through service, not through hand-outs.

In fact, Wadada has never needed to buy loyalty. His life has shown one thing over and over, devotion to public service. Through his Wadada Educational Foundation, he has helped many young people go to school. He gives scholarships and support to students who would otherwise have no hope of continuing their education. This did not start when he began eyeing the governorship. It has always been part of who he is.

People who know Wadada well will tell you he shows up. At weddings, at naming ceremonies, at burials, he stands with the people in good times and in bad times. He reaches out to the less privileged not because cameras are watching, but because that is simply who he is. This is what has shaped how people see him, a compassionate man, an optimist, and someone many in Nasarawa State have learned to lean on.

So it is wrong to say a man with this kind of record needs to be imposed on anyone. Yes, it helps that Governor Abdullahi Sule has seen these qualities in him and given him his backing. That kind of support from a sitting governor means a lot. But Wadada does not need to lean only on that. On his own strength, built over more than twenty years, he can stand firm against any political storm on the road to 2027.

And his structure is not resting. Across all thirteen local government areas in Nasarawa State, more grassroots groups keep forming to support him. The London Boy Movement, a support group with members from across the state, recently visited to renew its promise to mobilise support for his cause.

In the same way, the G12 Forum, made up of Special Assistants and Personal Assistants to Governor Sule from Keffi Local Government Area, has launched a women's group with a target of reaching five thousand women in that local government alone.

These are not small, scattered efforts. They show a growing wave of support building around a candidate whose appeal cuts across gender, age, and community lines.

Even more telling is the support coming from traditional institutions and ethnic groups. The Migili Nation, for example, has fully thrown its weight behind Wadada's governorship bid, calling their support a call to greater service.

This kind of open declaration does not come easily in politics. It is earned over years of closeness, trust, and consistent presence, qualities Wadada has shown again and again.

Wadada's idea of leadership also says a lot about him. He often says that true leadership is not just about power. It is about love, unity, and bringing people together around one shared goal.

This is why, even after the hard-fought APC primaries, he quickly called a reconciliation meeting with those who contested against him from Nasarawa West. He appealed for peace and promised leadership that carries everyone along.

In a political climate where sore losers can often cause trouble for a party, Wadada's choice to build bridges instead of burning them says a lot about the kind of governor he wants to be.

As the countdown to 2027 continues, Senator Wadada remains in the trenches, meeting the people, strengthening his structures, and building on the wide political network he has grown over the years. He is not a candidate made for the moment. He is the result of many years of patient, honest, and selfless work among the people of Nasarawa State.

For those still asking who the candidate to beat is in the 2027 Nasarawa State governorship race, the answer is already showing itself across the state, in the wards, among women's groups, within traditional institutions, and across party structures.

That answer is Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada.
