OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
The Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA) is pleased to announce the commencement of it's ICT Youth Empowerment Training Programme effective today, 8th June.

Following the completion of the application and selection process, the 70 successful participants for the first batch of the training programme will be contacted with their class links and other necessary information regarding participation.

Selected participants are also informed that a Pre-Onboarding Call has been scheduled for 4:00 PM today, where important information about the programme, expectations, and learning procedures will be shared.

Details for joining the call will be communicated directly to participants.

We are proud to state that participation in this programme is completely free of charge, in line with the DLA's commitment to youth empowerment, digital inclusion, and capacity development.

We congratulate the selected participants and look forward to supporting them as they acquire valuable ICT skills for personal and professional growth.

Nigeria's democracy faces profound challenges that stem largely from institutional weaknesses and decay, structural imbalance and flaws that are proves of systemic dysfunctions.

To be honest, change will not come easy, and it will be illusional to think that voting in a firm decisive leader who has just the will to change things can make Nigeria work overnight.

The rot is deep and built into the system.

However, getting the right legislations in place will make it easier for a President who is truly patriotic.

With men of strong character in the legislative arms, we can get the right laws to be made so that all aberrations that give unchecked power to the political class and a dysfunctional system can be recouched.

Instead of running to be President or Governor in their respective states, influential and vocal men and women like Omoyele Sowore, Donald Duke, Pat Utomi, Femi Adeshina, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Kingsley Moghalu, Labaran Maku, Femi Falana, Aisha Yesufu, Osita Chidoka, Dele Farotimi, etc can run for Senate, identify and align with men of progressive views to change laws that will give room for the aberration to be corrected.

As an emergency, we need to restructure governance by strengthening institutions to work in such a way that no one is above the law.

Nigeria’s democracy struggles under elite predation and institutional decay -not due to an inherent flaw in democracy itself, but because the practice is systematically undermined, courtesy of flaws in the laws and legal systems...
