Nasarawa APC Unites Behind Tinubu and Wadada for 2027

The Nasarawa State APC has officially declared its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Abdullahi Sule. During a briefing in Lafia, State Chairman Aliyu Bello praised the President’s national reforms and formally endorsed him for a second term in 2027.

The party also highlighted Governor Sule’s success in building local infrastructure and improving the state’s economy.
In a key move for the state’s political future, the party endorsed Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada as Governor Sule’s preferred successor. Leadership described the choice of Wadada as a strategic decision meant to keep the state stable and continue the current administration's progress. This endorsement sets a clear path for the party’s transition of power.

Despite naming a preferred candidate, Chairman Bello promised that the upcoming primary elections will be completely transparent and fair. He assured all other aspirants that the party will follow strict legal guidelines to provide a level playing field for everyone. This commitment aims to uphold internal democracy while allowing any qualified member the chance to contest.

Finally, the APC leadership dismissed rumors of internal division or forced candidates, calling such reports misleading. The chairman urged all party members to remain peaceful and united as they prepare for the 2027 elections. By focusing on collective goals, the party hopes to maintain its strength and ensure a smooth democratic process for the people of Nasarawa.

NIGERIA HEROES AWARD 2025 !

The Nigeria Heroes Award has recognised the hardworking Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the hopeful Governor of Nasarawa State come 2027, Distinguished Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada (Sarkin Yakin Keffi), the Senator representing Nasarawa West Senatorial District and Chairman, Senate Committee on Public Accounts.

This award was presented to Senator Wadada after an intense scrutiny by the Award Committee, where he was found to be the most deserving personality based on his outstanding track record of quality representation, youth development, and impactful grassroots and community development across Nasarawa West and beyond.

CHARACTER FIRST: A LEADER WHO CAN’T KEEP FAMILY TIES CAN’T KEEP A STATE TOGETHER

Before we give anyone our mandate, we must look at their character not their promises.

How can a man who keeps malice with his own blood, refuses reconciliation even when elders and traditional rulers intervene, disowns his son, divorces wives out of anger, and even refuses to attend his own brother’s funeral suddenly claim he is ready to lead a state?

If he rejected his own family, who are you as a supporter that he will listen to?

Christianity warns against breaking family ties:
• “If anyone does not provide for his own family, he has denied the faith.” — 1 Timothy 5:8

• “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.” — Matthew 5:9

Islam commands the strengthening of family ties:

• “Do not cut the ties of kinship.” — Qur’an 4:1
• “Be good to parents and relatives.” — Qur’an 4:36

The Prophet (SAW) made it clear:

• “Whoever wishes to have his provision increased and his life extended, let him uphold the ties of kinship.” — Bukhari & Muslim

• “The one who breaks family ties will not enter Paradise.” — Bukhari

If a man consistently breaks his own home, rejects peace, and refuses forgiveness, then he has already failed the first test of leadership.

A man who cannot build a family cannot build a state.

These are not the kind of people we should trust with our mandate.
