Washington D.C. - In a move that has left many stunned, President-elect Donald Trump has nominated a loyalist to lead the Justice Department, sparking concerns about the independence of the nation's top law enforcement agency.

Former federal prosecutor and close ally of Trump, is set to take the reins as Attorney General, pending Senate confirmation.

Critics argue that the pick raises questions about Trump's commitment to impartial justice, citing the former procecutor's history of partisanship and loyalty to the President-elect.

Supporters are of the opinion that the choice made by Trump is the best for American people and the world at large.

P Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, is currently facing serious allegations of physical and s*xual abuse, s*x trafficking, and racketeering. These allegations stem from multiple lawsuits filed by several women and two men, including his former partner Cassie, who claim to have been victims of his abuse.

Cassie's lawsuit alleges that Combs was physically and emotionally abusive, forcing her to have s*x with other men and recording these encounters. She also claims that he r***d her in 2018. Although Combs settled the lawsuit, eight more women and two men have come forward with similar allegations, including s*xual harassment, non-consensual po*******hy, and s*x trafficking .

Some of the other accusers include Liza Gardner, Joi Dickerson-Neal, Jane Doe, Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones, April Lampros, Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith, Dawn Richard, and Thalia Graves. Their allegations range from being drugged and assaulted to being forced into prostitution.

In response to these allegations, Combs has maintained his innocence, denying all claims and calling them "baseless" and "outrageous lies" . However, security footage released by CNN appears to show Combs assaulting Cassie in a hotel elevator in 2016.
The situation took a turn when federal agents raided Combs's properties in Miami and Los Angeles as part of a s*x-trafficking investigation. Combs was later arrested and charged with racketeering and s*x trafficking. His lawyer claims that Combs is "an imperfect person but not a criminal" and that he has been cooperative with the investigation.

Amaka Clears Air on Toronto Police Interaction, Denies Arrest Claims.
Amaka has refuted recent media reports, claiming she was arrested and detained by Toronto police. According to Amaka, she was not charged with any crime. Instead, she was invited by the police following a report from the Nigerian government.
During her interaction with Canadian authorities, Amaka presented video evidence demonstrating that her actions were in response to threats against the Igbo nation in Nigeria from some people of Benin and Yoruba descent. After reviewing the evidence, the police concluded that she had no further questions to answer and allowed her to leave.

At the same time, the Canadian government used the opportunity to call on the Nigerian government to address its internal tribal issues through peaceful and amicable solutions.

PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS NEW HEADS OF AGENCIES AND PROGRAMMES UNDER THE FEDERAL MINISTRY OF HUMANITARIAN AFFAIRS, DISASTER MANAGEMENT AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

To facilitate the needed relief to Nigerians and ensure the effectiveness of humanitarian and social development programmes, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of seven qualified Nigerians to head strategic agencies and programmes under the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.

(1) Dr. Badamasi Lawal -- Chief Executive Officer, National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA).

Dr. Lawal holds a doctorate degree in education, and he previously served as a commissioner in Katsina State.

(2) Ms. Funmilola Olotu -- Programme Manager, National Social Safety-Net Coordinating Office

Ms. Olotu holds a master's degree in business administration, and she is the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on state lotteries.

(3) Ms. Aishat Alubankudi -- Programme Manager, Grant for Vulnerable Groups

Ms. Alubankudi holds a bachelor’s degree in community development. She has experience as a risk assessor and financial manager.

(4) Princess Aderemi Adebowale -- Programme Manager, Home Grown School Feeding

Princess Adebowale holds a doctorate degree. She is the Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Civic Engagement and previously served as a local government chairperson.

(5) Mr. Abdullahi Alhassan Imam -- Programme Manager, National Cash Transfer Office

Mr. Imam holds a bachelor’s degree in accountancy and has served as chief accountant, Northern Dairies Ltd, and as a bank manager.

(6) Mr. Ayuba Gufwan -- Executive Secretary, National Commission for People with Disabilities

Mr. Gufwan holds an LLB and is the executive director of the Beautiful Gate Handicapped People Centre, Jos.

Zuru Development Society Inaugurated, Celebrated Life of Late Nathaniel Zome.

The Zuru Development Society, Kaduna Chapter, was inaugurated on May 11, 2024, with the goal of uniting sons and daughters of Zuru Emirate to advance their cause and aspirations. Senator Musa Maidoki called on the Kebbi State government to address the dilapidated roads and marginalization of Zuru people. He also urged Zuru people to join politics and invest in it for their emancipation. The occasion also celebrated the life and legacy of late Nathaniel Zome, a founding father of ZEDS.

[Unraveling the truth Nnamdi Kanu's Legal Team Sets the Record Straight]

In a press release dated May 9, 2024, Nnamdi Kanu's Legal Team has issued crucial clarifications regarding the ongoing case of their client, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. The team aims to correct misinformation circulating in the media, which may mislead the public and prejudice the legal proceedings.

Nnamdi Kanu is not currently facing treasonable felony charges. The previous charges were dropped by the Federal government after his rendition from Kenya. Instead, Kanu is now facing charges related to broadcasts alleged to have been made in "furtherance of Terrorism." This does not imply personal involvement in physical terrorist acts, but rather utterances or broadcasts, which carry different legal implications.

The declaration of IPOB as a terrorist group in 2017 was deemed unconstitutional by the High Court in October 2023.
