TECHNOLOGY INCUBATION CENTRE, JALINGO PARTNERS WITH KARIM LAMIDO LGA TO EMPOWER ENTREPRENEURS THROUGH ONLINE EMPOWERMENT SESSION

The Office of the Media and Publicity, Chairman Karim Lamido Local Government Area, is delighted to announce a strategic partnership with the Technology Incubation Centre, Jalingo, to host an exclusive online session on the benefits of admission into the centre. This initiative aligns with Honourable Chairman Hon. Bitrus I Danjos JP's vision for economic development and empowerment in the local government area, as well as the Dr. Agbu Kefas Empowerment Agenda.

EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN BITRUS ILU DANJOS CELEBRATES DELIVERY OF FLYING BOAT TO KARIM LAMIDO & LAU COMMUNITIES

The Executive Chairman of Karim Lamido Local Government Area, Hon. Bitrus Ilu Danjos, has expressed profound appreciation to the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, for the official presentation of a 20-seater flying boat to serve the riverine communities of Karim Lamido and Lau LGAs.

The Chairman, who was present at the handing-over ceremony held at the riverbank in Lau LGA, commended the Governor's proactive approach to safe water transportation and inclusive development across the state. Speaking after the event, Hon. Bitrus described the gesture as “a bold step towards protecting the lives of our people and opening up access to hard-to-reach communities.”

The boat was presented by the Honourable Commissioner for Transport, Hon. Yakubu S. Yakubu, on behalf of the Governor. According to the Commissioner, the initiative is in line with the Governor’s vision to ensure no part of Taraba is left behind in the drive for development and safety.

Also present at the ceremony were the Executive Chairman of Lau LGA, Hon. Nigeria Jatau, and traditional leaders including the Chief of Old Muri and Chief of Bikwin, all of whom thanked the Governor and urged community members to make good use of the boat.

The people of Karim Lamido remain grateful for this impactful intervention and stand firmly with Governor Agbu Kefas in building a New Taraba where no life is lost due to lack of safe transport.

The official handing-over ceremony was conducted today in Lau, where Hon. Bitrus Ilu Danjos, the Executive Chairman of Karim Lamido Local Government Area, accompanied by distinguished traditional rulers, council members, and other key stakeholders, formally received the flying boat on behalf of the beneficiaries.
