BPAM MESSAGE TO KANO VOTER

Dear Kano Voters,

The destiny of Kano should not be trapped in an endless loop of recycled political battles, inherited grudges, or rigid ideologies that no longer answer today’s realities.
Our state has paid dearly for politics that looks backward instead of forward.

The future demands a different kind of choice.

Leadership must no longer be about who shouts the loudest or who revives old rivalries. It must be about who understands governance, who can unite diverse interests, and who can translate influence into real opportunities for Kano.

As voters, our responsibility is higher than party symbols or emotional alignments. We must begin to assess leaders by:

* their record of service,
* their capacity to build consensus,
* their relevance within Nigeria’s national decision-making space, and
* their ability to think beyond personal ambition.

Kano needs leaders cut from the mould of Senator Barau I. Jibrin — leaders whose politics is guided by strategy, stability, and long-term impact, not perpetual conflict that leaves communities divided and development delayed.

At BPAM, we stand for a new political culture:

* one that values solutions over slogans,
* unity over rivalry, and
* progress over perpetual contention.

The power to reset Kano’s political direction lies with the voter.
Your PVC is not just a card — it is a statement of the future you want.

👉 Choose competence over chaos.
👉 Choose vision over recycled division.
👉 Choose leadership that moves Kano forward.

Kano’s future must be intentional.
Let us vote like the future matters.

KANO STATE POLITICS: A TRUTH WE MUST FINALLY FACE

For over two decades, Kano State has not truly suffered from lack of people, resources, or intelligence. What has held Kano down is something deeper and more painful: the habit of choosing leaders based on godfather loyalty instead of leadership capacity.

This is not an insult.
It is a historical fact we must honestly confront.

Let us reflect—calmly and truthfully.

In 1999, Kano people voted massively for Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso largely because of the political weight and influence of Late Abubakar Rimi and Late Musa Gwadabe. Many trusted their judgment. The thinking was simple: if these political giants endorsed him, then he must be the right choice.

But what happened next?

In 2003, many of the same Kano citizens refused to vote for Kwankwaso again. Not because he suddenly became incapable. Not because Kano collapsed under his watch. He was rejected mainly because he aligned politically with President Olusegun Obasanjo. That single decision was interpreted as choosing another political camp over local loyalty—and Kano voters punished him for it. He lost.

This moment revealed a dangerous reality:

Kano was voting loyalty, not leadership.

Fast forward to 2015. Kano voted overwhelmingly for Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, not because people independently studied his vision or plans, but because he was seen as Kwankwaso’s chosen successor. Once again, the people followed endorsement, not evaluation.

Then came 2019.

Many Kano citizens refused to support Ganduje—not primarily because of governance failure, but because he had fallen out with Kwankwaso and was seen as having turned against his political benefactor. The election became less about performance and more about punishment for perceived betrayal. The controversy that followed only deepened public frustration and mistrust.

Today, what we are witnessing between Kwankwaso and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf follows the same familiar script:

- Godfather influence

- Fear of domination

- Suspicion of future betrayal

- Citizens already dividing into camps

Different faces. Same pattern.

This is the painful truth:

Kano often elects leaders because of godfathers
and removes leaders because of godfathers.

Meanwhile:

- Independent thinkers are locked out

- Talented professionals are ignored

- Compassionate citizens who genuinely want to help orphans, widows, and the less privileged are discouraged from contesting

- Politics becomes a private fight, not a public service

Unless you submit to a political ideology controlled by a powerful figure, your chances are slim—no matter how capable or sincere you are.

The cost?

Weak institutions.
Interrupted development.
Endless power struggles.
Lost opportunities.

A state cannot progress when leaders are constantly torn between serving the people and pleasing political masters.

A message to Kano people:

It is time to stop voting to settle political scores.
It is time to stop choosing sides in loyalty wars that bring no water, no jobs, no schools, no dignity.

Kano is full of capable men and women:

- In our neighborhoods

- In our markets

- In our universities

- In our communities

They are not invisible because they lack value.
They are invisible because they are independent.

The future of Kano must change direction.

Leadership should be chosen by:

- Character

- Competence

- Compassion

- Commitment to the people

Not by who controls whom.

The ballot is not a weapon for domination.
It is a tool for liberation.

Choose Kano over control.
Choose capacity over loyalty.
Choose the future over recycled conflicts.

If this message speaks to you, share it.
Kano’s progress begins with honest conversations.

Dear Esteemed Members of the Barau Political Ambassadors Movement (BPAM),

This moment defines us. We are not gathered by chance, nor united by convenience. We are bonded by responsibility, driven by conscience, and guided by a vision greater thanourselves.
BPAM is not merely a political structure — it is a moral commitment to the future of Kano State.

Each effort you make today is a silent pledge to tomorrow.
Every conversation, every outreach, every act of discipline and restraint is rewriting the political story of our land. We are here to prove that politics can be noble, purposeful, and humane.

Our Strength Is Unity

True power does not come from numbers alone — it comes from togetherness anchored in respect.
BPAM members must rise above personal interests & narrow thinking.
اختلاف الرأي لا يفسد للود قضية.
Differences enrich us; division weakens us. When we move as one, our message becomes unbreakable.

Our Identity Is Peace

We are ambassadors, not agitators. We refuse the old politics of hostility, provocation, & destruction. Our mission is to cleanse the political space through calm engagement, patience, & maturity. Let our character disarm hostility & our conduct silence falsehood.

Our Method Is Intelligent Engagement

We choose wisdom over noise.
We choose strategy over chaos.
We choose persuasion over coercion.

BPAM believes in smart politics—using knowledge, innovation, digital platforms, & grassroots dialogue to connect meaningfully with the people. We build trust not with promises alone, but with consistency &credibility.

Our Culture Is Compassion

We represent the hopes of the struggling, the aspirations of the youth, the dignity of women, & the silent prayers of the elderly. Politics without empathy is empty. We listen before we speak, understand before we judge, & act before we claim credit.

Our Legacy Is Good Deeds

Dear BPAM members, fatigue may come, challenges will arise, but retreat is not an option. The road to transformation is never smooth, yet it is always worth walking. Stay focused. Stay disciplined. Stay connected to the people.

Stand firm in unity.

The future is observing us.
Let us give it something to be proud of.

BPAM—Purpose. Unity. Progress.

Barau's passion goes considerably beyond his regular legislative obligations, Gbajabiamila remarked. By aggressively tackling significant issues that affect people throughout the nation, he intends to establish a more unified Nigeria. As Gbajabiamila pointed out, this separates him in the politics of modern-day Nigeria—a leader whose ideals and acts not only gain the respect of his colleagues but also develop a close link with the people he serves.
"Gbajabiamila remarked, "Senator Barau has, time and again, shown an unyielding commitment to the welfare of his people and has made choices that prioritize the nation's growth above personal interests." This reflection is not only a recognition of Barau's leadership but also serves as a clarion call for other leaders to aspire towards similar standards of service.

The Chief of staff to the president continued by praised the legend as he said, "Barau’s brilliance as a lawmaker is matched only by his humility. He is a man who listens, who acts decisively, and who seeks always to unify. His work in the Senate has been instrumental in shaping the policy landscape of our country, and his presence in the political space has been one of both strength and grace."

Gbajabiamila underlined Senator Barau's unique policymaking approach and devotion to collaboration and inclusivity. He highlighted examples of Barau's cooperative attitude and strategic partnerships in the Senate, illustrating how these traits have been vital in pushing legislation that fit the interests and aims of the population. Senator Barau has built a climate of trust and collaboration via his dedicated efforts, Gbajabiamila added, proving his great devotion to unity and national cohesion.

In conclusion, the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Gbajabiamila, continued to demonstrate a great lot of Senator Barau I. Jibrin's respect and acknowledgment for the legacy of a great leader. By showcasing Barau's successes, Gbajabiamila presents an example of leadership based on honesty, tolerance, and dedication to public service. In addition to stressing the vital role of leaders like Senator Barau in building Nigerian society, this message encourages others to retain the same degree of persistent devotion to the nation and its people. Senator Barua's accomplishments and character are recorded in the nation's history via Gbajabiamila's passionate address, which invites future leaders to maintain the ideas that distinguish his service.
