THREE YEARS OF PURPOSEFUL GOVERNANCE, TRANSPARENCY, AND A RENEWED MANDATE
The Honourable Commissioner, Management and staff of the Ministry for Public Procurement, Project Monitoring & Evaluation join millions of well-wishers across Kano State in congratulating His Excellency Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf on three years of visionary leadership and renewed mandate as the people’s gubernatorial candidate.
Since the inauguration of this administration, the Ministry has played a central role in procurement planning and routine monitoring of projects across the 44-LGAs. The project award register records a total of 1,493 projects initiated under this government. Of these, over 787 projects have been fully completed, while the remaining 706 projects have reached advanced stages of completion—demonstrating steady progress across the state and prudent stewardship of public resources.
This administration’s “Kano First” agenda has delivered tangible improvements in infrastructure, education, healthcare and social services. The strong project delivery record—backed by rigorous due process, fiscal discipline and continuous monitoring—has restored public confidence and translated policy into visible results for communities across Kano State.
The Ministry commends the administration’s commitment to transparency and accountability in procurement. Through enforced procurement standards, active procurement audits and timely reporting, the Ministry ensures that public funds are used efficiently and projects are delivered to specifications and schedules.
We also applaud Your Excellency’s emphasis on youth and women empowerment through employment initiatives, skills acquisition programmes, and targeted social interventions that expand opportunity and inclusion.
As custodians of procurement oversight and project monitoring, we reaffirm our unwavering support for the administration’s developmental vision. We will continue to drive integrity, efficiency, and effective oversight and deliver sustainable benefits to the people of Kano State.
