Kano State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Strengthens Strategic Partnerships for Sustainable Development
In a bid to drive impactful initiatives and enhance socio-economic development in Kano State, the Honourable Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Adamu Aliyu Kibiya accompanied by the Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and other key staff members, held high-level strategic meetings with the Director General of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Dr. Abdul B. Kamara and the Country Director of the World Food Programme (WFP) David Stevenson.
The discussions focused on fostering collaboration between the Ministry and these key development partners to implement projects that will alleviate poverty, enhance humanitarian response, and drive sustainable progress across the state.
The Honourable Commissioner emphasized the government’s commitment to leveraging strategic partnerships to improve livelihoods and create long-term solutions to socio-economic challenges.
The African Development Bank and the World Food Programme reaffirmed their readiness to support initiatives that align with Kano State’s developmental priorities, particularly in areas of food security, economic empowerment, and social welfare.
These engagements mark a significant step toward mobilizing resources and expertise to drive impactful change for the people of Kano.
The Ministry remains committed to working with both local and international stakeholders to implement policies and programs that will uplift vulnerable communities and contribute to the overall development of the state.
