NAF OFFICER CADET PA OLAYINKA WINS SWORD OF HONOUR AT NDA 71 REGULAR COURSE PASSING OUT PARADE.
At the Nigerian Defence Academy's Combined Passing Out Parade and Commissioning Ceremony held earlier today, 28 September 2024 at the Oliver Nzalgana Academy Parade Ground, NDA Permanent site Afaka Kaduna, Officer Cadet PA Olayinka of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) received the prestigious Sword of Honour for the 71 Regular Course. The Sword of Honour is the highest accolade awarded to the best all-round cadet, recognizing excellence in academics, military subjects and personal qualities.
The selection for this award considers academic achievements, military training, leadership, discipline, and integrity. Officer Cadet Olayinka excelled in all areas, standing out as a model of dedication and resilience among his peers, a testament to the rigorous training at the Academy.
Congratulating the winner, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, commended the awarded Officer Cadet Olayinka’s outstanding performance. "Your achievement reflects the dedication required to serve our nation. This honour is a personal achievement and an inspiration to others in the NAF and the Armed Forces at large," he added.
