In a democracy, the decision is made through franchise, and franchise is exercised through the will...it is the willingness to have better Government and good governance through choice leaders: leaders with personality and pedigree.

An Ahmed from Kano, or an Emeka from Enugu, or a Shola from Ibadan? This are typical assumptions people have often had about the the person and personality of Hon. Barr. Kish.

Why? Because his exposure has given him a multicultural background from which his social disposition emanates...a unique character that exudes his sense of civility and strong connection with peoples and places.

A democratic leader must be seen to have the necessary blend of experience and exposure, coupled with open-mindedness and interactive acumen needed for competent leadership that is inclusive, responsive and sociable.

Readers are leaders. Not every leader is a reader. Good leaders keep their minds abreast of happenings, bad leader are intellectually stagnant.

The problem with leadership in our democratic space is the folly of the electorate in choosing stagnation over development. Development and progress spring from a well-fed and progressive mind.

Hon. Barr. Jonathan Kish Adamu is one mind and man whose knack has been to move society forward, putting his wealth of experiences in selfless service as an erudite lawyer, development expert and astute politician.
