Supporting Stronger Political Organisation in Southern Kaduna

Southern Kaduna APC Elders Forum inaugurated its Steering Committee and Local Government Coordinators.

I was privileged, to witness it alongside, very distinguished personalities, including Her Excellency, the deputy governor, De. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe; Comr'd Jerry Adams, the deputy governor to-be of Kaduna State, other leaders and stakeholders at New Choice Hotel here in Kafanchan.

I was particularly pleased to be part of this strategic initiative that brings together the wisdom and experience of our elders to strengthen our party at the grassroots.

As we look ahead to 2027, unity, consultation and responsible political engagement will be essential. Our elders have an important role to play in providing guidance, resolving differences and helping to build a stronger and more united APC.

I congratulate the newly inaugurated members and wish the Forum a successful tenure. I look forward to working with them and other stakeholders towards the peace, progress and development of our people.

Together, we can build a stronger Southern Kaduna.

Celebrating a Distinguished Son of Jema’a, Alh. Gambo Musa Ilallah

Today, I joined Her Excellency, the Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe; our Deputy Governor to-be, come 2027, Comr'd Jerry Adams; the Emir of Jema'a, Alh. Muhammadu Isa Muhammadu II, other distinguished leaders, politicians, government officials, traditional rulers, friends and well-wishers at a grand reception in Kafamchan, organised by the Jema’a Emirate in honour of our recently appointed Accountant General of Kaduna State, Alhaji Gambo Musa Ilallah.

It was a moment for pride for our community to celebrate one of our own and his elevation to this important position.

I warmly congratulate Alhaji Ilallah and wish him wisdom, strength and success in his new assignment.

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF CHARITY

As we mark the United Nations International Day of Charity today, we are reminded that humanity is at its best when we care for one another.

Charity is about giving money when the situation warrants it. But it is also about extending a helping hand, offering a kind word, sharing a meal, lifting a burden, giving thoughtful advice, being there for someone in need, or even offering a kind-hearted smile.

Let us remember that even the smallest act of kindness can make a difference in someone's life.

May we continue to build a society where we look out for one another, especially the vulnerable and those going through difficult times in our midst.

Today marks another day to celebrate with a dear friend and brother, a calm and hardworking person whose strength, wisdom and vision I have come to admire.

Engr. Ciroma is an engineer of high repute whose distinguished career has taken him through several important leadership and professional positions in the nation's power sector, having served within the Northern districts of NEPA/PHCN, Special Assistant (Technical) to the Honourable Minister of State for Power, and later as General Manager and Programme Coordinator at the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).

A Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), with memberships and fellowships in several other professional bodies, his career is a reflection of competence, dedication and a life of meaningful service.

His entrance into politics has brought more value and integrity into politics when he aspired for the Senate.

But beyond these accomplishments,, I cherish your humble, dependable, thoughtful and genuinely good-hearted spirit.

Dear brother, on your birthday, I wish you good health, greater fulfilment, renewed strength and many more years of meaningful impact.

The Kaduna State Government has approved an increase in the salaries of traditional rulers across the state, the Executive Chairman of Jema’a Local Government Area, Hon. Peter Tanko Dogara, has disclosed.

Hon. Dogara made the disclosure during a discussion with stakeholders in Jema’a LGA, and subsequently shared the development with the public on his personal page.

The Chairman described the approval as a welcome development and a fitting recognition of the responsibilities shouldered by traditional rulers in their various communities.

Traditional rulers remain “very important partners in our communities,” the Chairman commented, noting that they are close to the people and continue to play a vital role in promoting peace, resolving conflicts, preserving culture and supporting development at the grassroots.

According to the Council Chairman, improving their welfare would not only recognise their contributions but also provide further encouragement for them to continue discharging these responsibilities.

He subsequently expressed his appreciation to the Governor for the decision, saying, “I also commend Governor Uba Sani for recognising their contributions and taking steps to improve their welfare.”

He further expressed confidence that the gesture would strengthen the role of traditional institutions in promoting peace, security and development across the state.

The Jema’a Council Chairman congratulated the traditional rulers in the Local Government and across Kaduna State, describing the salary increase as a positive development for an institution that remains central to the stability and cohesion of communities.

Today, I join millions of Nigerians in celebrating a remarkable Nigerian, a distinguished statesman and a man whose journey in public service continues to inspire.

From the classroom and the banking hall to the Borno State Executive Council, the Governor’s Office, the Senate and now the Vice Presidency of our great country, your life has been a story of learning, courage, responsibility and service.

As a former Governor of Borno State, you led at one of the most difficult periods in the history of the state. Yet, beyond the offices you have occupied, what stands out is the intellect, composure and humanity with which you have approached public service.

At 60, you have every reason to look back with gratitude. But for a man whose public life has been defined by service, I believe this milestone is less about looking back and more about appreciating the journey and looking ahead to the greater responsibilities that remain.

Your Excellency, as you mark this important milestone, I pray that God grants you greater wisdom, sound health, strength and many more years of purposeful service to our dear nation.

SALARY INCREASE FOR OUR TRADITIONAL RULERS

I am pleased to share some good news with our traditional rulers across Kaduna State.

The Kaduna State Government has approved an increase in the salaries of traditional rulers across the state, a decision announced by His Excellency, Governor Uba Sani, CON.

I believe it is a timely and well-deserved gesture.

Our traditional rulers remain very important partners in our communities. They are close to the people and continue to play a vital role in promoting peace, resolving conflicts, preserving our culture and supporting development at the grassroots.

I warmly congratulate our royal fathers in Jema’a and across Kaduna State. I also commend Governor Uba Sani for recognising their contributions and taking steps to improve their welfare.

I am confident this will further encourage them in the important work they do for our communities.
