Reports say the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission has linked several luxury properties in Cairo, Egypt to former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai.
The assets reportedly include three villas and six apartments in high-end estates, allegedly purchased between 2021 and 2023 while he was still governor.
However, El-Rufai has denied the allegations, saying the claims are politically motivated.
Honest question to Nigerians:
Should public officials own expensive properties abroad while citizens struggle at home?
Or is this simply political persecution?
