The Kaduna State Local Government Service Board, under the distinguished Chairmanship of Professor Aminu Ladan Sharehu, OON, in collaboration with FAFCO Global Consults Ltd, has organized a capacity-building workshop titled:

“Enhancing Grassroots Governance and Administration: Strengthening the Role of District and Village Authorities.”

The workshop is aimed at strengthening the capacity of Heads of District and Village Administration across the 23 Local Government Councils of Kaduna State, with a focus on improving grassroots governance, administrative effectiveness, and service delivery at the community level.

The Kaduna State Local Government Service Board, under the distinguished Chairmanship of Professor Aminu Ladan Sharehu, OON, in collaboration with His Grace Managerial Consults, has organized a capacity-building workshop for key career officers in the Kaduna State Local Government Service titled: Strengthening the Professional Competence of Personal Assistants to Local Government Councils Chairmen.

The workshop is aimed at promoting ethical conduct among Personal Assistants, enhancing professional skills, and improving relationship management for effective office administration.
It also emphasizes the importance of confidentiality, discretion, and proper information management in supporting efficient and accountable Local Government leadership.

The Chairman of the Board, Professor Aminu Ladan Sharehu, OON, expressed his deep appreciation to His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, CON, Executive Governor of Kaduna State, for his continued support and commitment to the welfare and capacity development of Local Government workers across the state. He further explained that the Board is implementing a comprehensive capacity-building trainings, which includes short-term, long-term, Strategic training and retreat programmes.

9th, December 2025.

The Chairman of the Kaduna State Local Government Service Board, Professor Aminu Ladan Sharehu, OON, has successfully defended the Board’s 2026 Budget before the Kaduna State House of Assembly.

The Honourable Commissioner, Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Sadiq Mamman Lagos, led the agencies under the Ministry to the Assembly for the budget defense.

During the session, the Committee commended the Board for its unwavering commitment to reforming and strengthening the capacity of Local Government workers across the 23 Local Government Councils of Kaduna State.

LGSB WORKSHOP UPDATE:
2nd, December 2025.

The Kaduna State Local Government Service Board, under the distinguished Chairmanship of Professor Aminu Ladan Sharehu, OON, in collaboration with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), has organized a capacity-building workshop on Transparency, Anti-Corruption, Budget Accountability, and Due Process for Assistant Directors of Budget across the 23 Local Government Councils of Kaduna State.

The workshop aims at strengthening participants’ capacity to uphold transparency in financial management, promote accountability in budget planning and implementation, ensure strict adherence to due process, and reinforce the fight against corruption at the Local Government level. It is designed to equip officers with the knowledge and tools needed to improve service delivery and support good governance across all councils.

KADUNA STATE LOCAL GOVERNMENT SERVICE BOARD STAFF PROMOTION INTERVIEW FOR THE YEAR 2025

The Chairman of the Kaduna State Local Government Service Board, Professor Aminu Ladan Sharehu, OON (Mutawallin Zazzau), has monitored the ongoing staff promotion interview exercise for employees of the 23 Local Government Councils across the three zones of the State.

Professor Sharehu expressed satisfaction and appreciation to His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, CON, Executive Governor of Kaduna State, as well as to the candidates and the organizing committees for their dedication and orderly conduct. He further reassured eligible candidates that, with the continued support of the present administration, the Board will ensure the expedited release of promotion letters.

Professor Sharehu emphasized that this effort is aimed at motivating staff toward greater productivity and strengthening effective service delivery at the grassroots level.

The Chairman of the Kaduna State Local Government Service Board, Professor Aminu Ladan Sharehu, OON, Mutawallin Zazzau, has successfully chaired the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the 1st International Conference organised by the Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Management Sciences, College of Business and Social Sciences, Kaduna State University (KASU).

The conference, themed “Rethinking Local Government Administration: Policy Reform, Institutional Capacity, and Public Financial Management for Sustainable Development,” brought together leading scholars, policy experts, administrators, and practitioners from across Nigeria and beyond.

A major highlight of the programme was the insightful keynote address delivered by Her Excellency, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State who emphasized the importance of strengthening governance structures, enhancing accountability, and building resilient local institutions to drive sustainable development.

The event also hosted Assistant Directors of General Services from the 23 Local Government Councils in Kaduna State, who actively participated in discussions on innovative governance strategies, policy reforms, and improved administrative practice

The Kaduna State Local Government Service Board, under the distinguished Chairmanship of Professor Aminu Ladan Sharehu, OON, in collaboration with Haneefa Global Consults Ltd, has organized a capacity-building workshop titled:

“Enhancing Adult Learning Systems: Leadership and Management in Adult and Non-Formal Education Delivery at the Local Government Level.”

The workshop brings together Deputy Directors of Adult Education from the 23 Local Government Councils of Kaduna State. Its primary objective is to strengthen their leadership capabilities, improve management skills, and enhance overall service delivery in Adult and Non-Formal Education at the grassroots level.

KADUNA STATE LOCAL GOVERNMENT STAFF CBT PROMOTION EXAMINATION FOR THE YEAR 2026

The Chairman of the Kaduna State Local Government Service Board, Professor Aminu Ladan Sharehu, OON, Mutawallin Zazzau, monitored the ongoing 2026 Promotion Exercise.

During the monitoring visit, Professor Sharehu reassured Local Government workers that, with the sustained support of the present Administration led by His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, CON, Executive Governor of Kaduna State, the Board remains committed to ensuring the timely issuance of promotion notifications to all successful candidates.

A total of 745 staff participated in the promotion exercise.

KADUNA STATE LOCAL GOVERNMENT SERVICE BOARD 2026 CBT REFRESHER / INDUCTION TRAINING FOR PROMOTION EXERCISE ACROSS THE 23 LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCILS

The Kaduna State Local Government Service Board, under the distinguished Chairmanship of Professor Aminu Ladan Sharehu, OON, has commenced the 2026 CBT Refresher/Induction Training for eligible staff participating in this year’s Promotion Exercise across the 23 Local Government Councils.

The program is designed to enhance staff readiness, strengthen competence, and ensure a fair, transparent, and merit-driven promotion process in line with the Transformation Agenda of His Excellency, (Dr.) Senator Uba Sani, CON Executive Governor of Kaduna State.

The induction and refresher training is being conducted across the 3 Senatorial zones of the State.

KADUNA STATE LOCAL GOVERNMENT SERVICE BOARD CONDUCTS 2025 UNSCHEDULED MONITORING VISITS TO LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCILS

The Chairman of the Kaduna State Local Government Service Board, Professor Aminu Ladan Sharehu, OON, led a team from the Board on an unscheduled monitoring visit to Sanga, Lere, Kauru, Kubau, Kudan, Makarfi, Ikara, Soba, Birnin Gwari, Giwa, Ighabi, Kajuru and Chikun Local Government Councils.

The visit was aimed at assessing the performance and commitment of local government workers across the 23 Local Government Areas of the State. This initiative aligns with the transformative agenda of His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, CON, Governor of Kaduna State, in promoting sustainability, accountability, and effective service delivery within the local government system.
