I am excited to reach out to you today with great optimism and enthusiasm. I am delighted to announce that I have been nominated as the running mate to Hon. Godwin Luka, also known as Mai-solar. This nomination marks a new chapter of progress and unity for our party.

This decision was made after extensive discussions and careful consideration to strategically position ourselves for success in the upcoming local government general election on October 19, 2024.

We must come together, align our efforts, and address our challenges with unity and precision. By establishing a strong feedback system, we can ensure that our actions are impactful and effective.

Let's take pride in our past victories, such as the inspiring triumph in 2023 when we elected *Hon. DMK* against all odds. This victory showed our determination and ability to overcome challenges.

While some may doubt our capabilities and spread false narratives about our success, we have the opportunity to demonstrate our unwavering determination, resilience, and spirit. As we have stood together in the face of challenges before, we can do so again.

OUR MUMU DON DO!

It brings me joy to see the increasing number of young people showing interest in political office this time around, especially in our party.

I am reassured to know that the Kaura youths have awakened to our responsibility of fighting for the future we envision for ourselves and our children.

In the past (and I hope that it is truly in the past), all we did was work against ourselves for temporary financial gain. In the end, we found ourselves at the receiving end.

👉Poverty

This political season, I can see and believe that we are ready and capable of changing the narrative. Let's be resolute, focused, and strong in our struggle.

When the time comes to make the right choice among ourselves, let's be wise in choosing an individual with:

- Character

- Capacity and
- Capability to transform our dear local government into a secure, prosperous, attractive, and enviable town of our dreams.

WHO IS HON. FRANCIS PETER (aka Franko Na kowa) NA KAURA IN KAURA LABOUR PARTY:

He is known by most LP party faithful as one of the founding members of the Labour Party in Kaura LGA.

He left PDP, where he served as the Student Coordinator for all tertiary institutions for the Late Senator Isaiah Balat in 2007, and joined hands with the current Kaura LGA Labour Party executives to ensure victory for the party in the 2023 general election.

Despite facing challenges and skepticism about the party's ability to win elections due to a perceived lack of structure, Na Kaura and other Labour Party faithful remained focused and determined to change this perception.

Facing the absence of a Labour Party office in the entire local government area, Na Kaura painted and branded his personal house with the Labour Party logo and donated it for free to be used as a ward Labour Party office. The office was commissioned by the LP Senatorial candidate, Eng. Mike Ayuba Auta, in the presence of the current Kaduna state LP chairman, Awol Tafoki, LP Kaura LGA, Jonathan (Pepe), most SK LP candidates, and other party faithful.

Na Kaura served and chaired various committees in the Kaura Labour Party before the general elections. He also intervened in the leadership structure crisis at the early stage by addressing the root cause of the problem at the state level to ensure smooth administration at the local government executives' level.

He actively participated in electioneering processes at the state and local government levels and served in several capacities in the party and to the LP candidates. Na kaura served as:

1. The Director of Research and Programs for Kaduna state Labour Party support groups.
2. Southern Kaduna coordinator, Asake-Bashir support Network of LP for Gubernatorial Candidate HE: Jonathan Asake.
3. A member of the campaign council of the LP Southern Kaduna Senatorial candidate as the Director of Research and Planning.
4. On election days, Na Kaura served as the INEC Electoral representative, serving the interest of LP candidates across Kaura LGA.

Na Kaura, along with other party faithful, risked their lives to defy the odds for better leadership and progress in Kaura LGA by challenging the established powers. Their efforts were rewarded when a first-timer defeated a sitting House of Representatives member.

These contributions earned Na Kaura respect and recognition from the Kaduna State Labour Party Executives and the local government executives. He received a letter of appreciation and recognition for his input to the progress and development of the Labour Party in Kaura LGA.

His sacrificial efforts have been acknowledged by most party faithful and executives at the state and local government levels. Given the privilege to serve, Na Kaura believes that he can do much more.

Now, Na Kaura has officially picked a form to run for the position of Chairman in the local government. It's time to support him, as "one good turn deserves another".

Even though we didn't secure the top leadership position in the 2023 election, our efforts were not in vain as we gained representation in the House of Representatives.
