Governor Uba Sani today received Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, at the Abba Kyari Banquet Hall, Kaduna, for the official flag-off ceremony of a major humanitarian intervention targeted at vulnerable households across Northern Nigeria.

The visit marks another significant step in the Federal Government’s commitment to easing the economic burden faced by citizens, particularly low-income families and underserved communities. As part of this intervention, the First Lady launched the distribution of 100 trucks of rice alongside ₦1.2 billion in palliative support, which will benefit vulnerable households across the 19 Northern states.

This initiative, under the leadership and compassionate vision of Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, reflects a strong commitment to social welfare, food security, and inclusive support for citizens during challenging economic times. It also demonstrates the Federal Government’s resolve to ensure that relief materials and financial assistance reach those who need them the most.

Governor Uba Sani, while receiving the First Lady, expressed appreciation for her dedication to humanitarian service and her continued support for Nigerians, especially women, children, and vulnerable groups. He also reaffirmed Kaduna State’s readiness to collaborate with the Federal Government and relevant stakeholders in ensuring the transparent and effective distribution of these palliatives.

The event further highlights Kaduna State’s strategic role as a key partner in national development initiatives and social intervention programs aimed at improving the living conditions of ordinary Nigerians. With this intervention, many struggling families across Northern Nigeria are expected to receive much-needed relief and support.

This gesture is not only timely but also a reflection of responsive leadership, empathy, and a collective commitment to improving the welfare of citizens across the region.

Official Commissioning of the Brigadier General Abba Kyari Banquet Hall

Earlier today, Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima officially commissioned the Brigadier General Abba Kyari Banquet Hall, a world-class facility constructed by Governor Uba Sani at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House.

Since laying the foundation in 2024, the Governor has envisioned this landmark as a cornerstone of his infrastructure drive. Specifically designed to host high-level diplomatic meetings, international conferences, and major state functions, the hall fills a long-standing gap in the region's capacity to host top-tier global events.

Beyond its physical structure, the project represents a strategic move to restore Kaduna’s historical status as the political heartbeat of the North and a renowned center of learning. As the state continues to attract international development partners and global investors, this contemporary facility ensures Kaduna is equipped to host the world with excellence, blending modern urban renewal with the city's deep-rooted strategic importance to Nigeria.

Economically, the banquet hall is positioned as a powerful commercial asset designed to significantly boost Internally Generated Revenue (IGR). By serving as a premier venue for corporate Annual General Meetings (AGMs) and high-profile private events, the facility transitions from a government monument into a self-sustaining revenue driver.

The project is set to trigger a vital economic "multiplier effect" across several local sectors:
• Hospitality & Tourism: Driving occupancy rates in city hotels and positioning Kaduna as a destination for the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) industry.
• Logistics & Transport: Increasing demand for local transport and technical service providers.
• Agriculture & Catering: Benefiting local farmers and wholesalers through the massive catering requirements of large-scale summits.

Finally, the hall will serve as a hub for job creation and business tourism, fostering a professional ecosystem for facility managers, event planners, and high-tech service providers. By providing a platform to showcase Kaduna’s investment climate to global stakeholders, the facility facilitates the knowledge exchange necessary to enhance the productivity and competitiveness of the local workforce.

OFFICIAL REPORT ON HIGH-LEVEL STRATEGIC ENGAGEMENT

Today, the Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Alhaji Abubakar Buba, acting on behalf of His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, received in audience three distinguished Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The engagement was held ahead of tomorrow’s strategic meeting on the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) programme.

The visiting dignitaries included the Honourable Minister for Environment, the Honourable Minister of Agriculture, and the Honourable Minister of Water Resources. Their presence reflects the Federal Government’s continued commitment to fostering inter-ministerial collaboration in addressing climate related challenges and enhancing agriculture.

Discussions during the meeting focused on the Mid Term Review of the ACReSAL programme, as well as deliberations of the Steering and Technical Committees. These sessions provided a valuable opportunity to evaluate progress, strengthen coordination, and refine strategies aimed at achieving sustainable environmental management and improved agricultural outcomes.

Key issues highlighted included the importance of policy alignment, efficient water resource management, climate smart agriculture, and the adoption of innovative approaches to mitigate the adverse effects of climate change. The meeting also emphasized the need for sustained collaboration between Federal and State actors to ensure impactful and long term results.

The Honourable Commissioner, while welcoming the Ministers on behalf of His Excellency, reiterated the Kaduna State Government’s unwavering commitment to supporting initiatives that promote environmental sustainability, resilience, and food security.

Leadership is not about empty rhetoric. it is about measurable impact, visible progress, and the ability to improve the lives of the people in real terms. True leadership goes beyond promises; it is defined by action, consistency, and results that can be felt across communities.
In Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani has continued to demonstrate a leadership style rooted in inclusion, development, and people-centered governance. His approach reflects a deep understanding that governance is not about power, but about service.. service to the ordinary citizen, the youth, the farmer, the trader, and every resident striving for a better life.
From strengthening grassroots engagement to promoting economic opportunities, the focus has remained clear: building a Kaduna where growth is shared and no one is left behind. Support for small businesses, commitment to agricultural development, and efforts to improve infrastructure all point to a leadership that prioritizes sustainability and long-term progress.
More importantly, this leadership recognizes the importance of unity and stability as the foundation for development. By fostering cooperation across communities and encouraging inclusive participation, the administration continues to lay the groundwork for a more peaceful and prosperous state.
The mark of true leadership is not in loud declarations, but in quiet, consistent progress. It is seen in policies that uplift, in decisions that empower, and in a vision that brings people together for a common purpose.
As Kaduna continues on the path of growth and transformation, one thing remains clear: progress is not accidental..it is the result of deliberate leadership, focused direction, and a commitment to continuity.

Together, we move Kaduna forward. 💯🔥
