TASK FORCE TEAM 'A' IN KANAM LGA, RECORDED YET ANOTHER SUCCESS.

Today, been 3rd February 2026, has been another busy but remarkable day to the team A.
Following tips to the Task Force that a Toyota Hilux, Security vehicle belonging to Kanam Local Government Council has been Auctioned to an individual wrongfully.
A check on the authentic list of items auctioned shows that the vehicle was not listed for Auction.

The Task Force team visited the mechanic workshop where the vehicle had been parked for over 5years.
The Task Force has recovered the vehicle.

In a related development, the Task Force has visited Government College Dengi where it marked fifty (50) Houses built on the college premises.

The Task Force, in the early hours of the day visited the DPO Kanam LGA and informed the Divisional Officer of it presence and activities in Kanam LGA. The DPO Kanam, who was earlier informed of the Task Force coming to his office by the DCP, received the Task Force and further attached Six Policemen to the Task Force to visit the Government College Dengi.

At the Government College Dengi, the School Principal, Mr Sani and other staff of the Collage Received the Task Force and pledged to support the Task Force with any useful information as it may be required of them.

TASK FORCE CONTINUES LGA TOUR ACROSS PLATEAU

The State Task Force, led by General Nash Yakubu (Rtd.), has continued its Local Government Area tour with visits to Riyom LGA, Wasse LGA, and Langtang LGA.

The engagements focused on the inspection of vehicles and properties belonging to government, as well as the recovery of assets that were encroached upon or unlawfully taken, in line with the Task Force’s mandate.

The leadership of the visited Local Government Areas commended the Task Force and reaffirmed their commitment to continued collaboration in support of its work.

TASK FORCE ON THE RECOVERY OF PLATEAU STATE GOVERNMENT PROPERTIES CONTINUES ENGAGEMENT IN JOS NORTH

The Task Force on the Recovery of Plateau State Government Properties continued its engagements in Jos North Local Government Area as part of its ongoing tour across the state.

During a briefing with the Management and Directors of the LGA, the Chairman of the Task Force, Brig. Gen. Nash Yakubu (Rtd), provided an update on the progress made so far under Jos North. He highlighted the enormous volume of work within the LGA and shared key recommendations aimed at safeguarding government assets and strengthening accountability. The Chairman also appreciated the cooperation and openness of the LGA officials throughout the exercise.

Speaking on behalf of the Jos North Local Government, the Deputy Chairman, Hon. Kabiru Garkuwa, expressed gratitude to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, for establishing the Task Force. He noted that the team has achieved results the LGA could not have accomplished on its own. He further commended the Task Force for its commitment, transparency, and courage in executing its mandate.

The Task Force remains dedicated to delivering on its assignment and ensuring that government properties are fully recovered, protected, and properly documented for the benefit of Plateau State.

Task Force on Recovery of Plateau State Government Properties Continues LGA Tour with Visit to Jos South.

The Task Force on the Recovery of Plateau State Government Properties continued its statewide LGA tour with a working visit to Jos South Local Government Area. The delegation, led by the Chairman, Brig. Gen. Nash Yakubu (Rtd.), was received at the Jos South Secretariat by the Deputy Chairman, Hon. Kachallom Michael, and the Secretary, Hon. David Dusu, alongside other key officials of the LGA.

During the engagement, the Task Force outlined its mandate and requested the submission of inventories and detailed reports on government properties under the custody of the LGA, it was formally presented to the Task Force to aid the ongoing verification and recovery process across the State.

As part of the visit, the Task Force also paid a courtesy call on the Gwom Rei of Jos South, HRH Da Nga Dangyang. The esteemed traditional ruler offered his blessings and expressed concern over the widespread sale and misuse of government properties, calling for accountability and supporting the Task Force’s mission.

The Task Force appreciated the cooperation of the Jos South authorities and reaffirmed its commitment to a transparent and comprehensive recovery exercise for the benefit of Plateau citizens

TASK FORCE ON THE RECOVERY OF PLATEAU STATE GOVERNMENT PROPERTIES CONTINUES LGA TOUR IN BASSA.

The Task Force on the Recovery of Plateau State Government Properties commenced its visit to Bassa Local Government Area earlier this week, as part of its ongoing statewide tour in line with its official mandate.

During the visit, the Task Force has been inspecting government-owned properties across the LGA, including buildings, lands, vehicles, and other assets. The team is also identifying and recovering properties that have been encroached upon or illegally occupied, ensuring that all assets belonging to the Government of Plateau State are properly accounted for.

While receiving the team, the Deputy Chairman of Bassa LGA, Hon. Isreal Amabu, who represented the Executive Chairman, applauded the efforts of the Executive Governor and the Task Force. He described the exercise as a timely intervention that will help safeguard government property and promote accountability within the Local Government.

The exercise is still ongoing in Bassa LGA as the Task Force continues its efforts to protect and restore government assets for the benefit of all citizens.

The Task Force Concludes Jos East Inspection Tour

The Task Force on the Recovery of Plateau State Government Properties has concluded its tour of Jos East Local Government Area over the weekend, in continuation of its mandate to identify, recover, and protect government assets across the state.

During the exercise, the Task Force inspected several properties belonging to both the Local Government and the State Government, including vehicles, motorcycles, boundary lands, buildings, and staff quarters. The team also marked out structures illegally erected on government lands for demolition and commenced the recovery of encroached areas.

The visit concluded with a briefing session with the Chairman of Jos East LGA, Hon. Markus Usaini Nyam, who expressed profound gratitude to the Mutfwang-led administration and the Task Force for their efforts. He reaffirmed that the exercise is not in any way a witch-hunt, but a sincere step toward accountability and good governance.

THE TASK FORCE VISIT TO JOS EAST.

The Task Force on the Recovery of Plateau State Government Properties continued its visitation and inspection exercise in Jos East Local Government Area as part of its ongoing mandate to recover and safeguard government assets across the state.

During the visit, the team led by Gen. Yakubu Nash (Rtd.), Chairman of the Task Force, inspected the General Hospital, Jos East, where they were warmly received by the Medical Superintendent, Dr. Wale Natip Lohbut. Dr. Lohbut was requested to present the hospital’s inventory and subsequently showed the team some government-owned properties within the facility for physical verification.

The Task Force also visited the Primary Education Board and the Ministry of Education’s Inspection Area Office, where they engaged with the Directors and Principals of government schools within the Local Government. During the interaction, Principals from Government Secondary Schools Shere, Ker Ker, and Zandi raised concerns over encroachment on school lands and appealed for urgent intervention.

In response, the Chairman of the Task Force advised the Principals to initiate tree planting along school boundaries as a preventive measure and assured them that the government would take necessary steps to address the encroachment and reclaim affected lands.
