CONDOLENCE MESSAGE AT THE ONE-YEAR MEMORIAL THANKSGIVING MASS OF LATE RSM INNOCENT OCHEME
With hearts filled with both sorrow and gratitude, we gather today at this Holy Mass to mark one year since the passing of our beloved brother, Late Regimental Sergeant Major Innocent Ocheme, a devoted Catholic Cadet and a faithful servant of God.
Though a year has gone by, the pain of his absence still lingers, yet we are comforted by the gift of his life and the legacy he left behind. Late RSM Innocent Ocheme was a man of discipline, courage, and deep faith. As a Catholic Cadet, he embodied the true spirit of service—serving God, the Church, and humanity with unwavering commitment.
He lived a life rooted in faith, always ready to lead, to guide, and to uplift others. His dedication to duty, his humility, and his strong moral character made him not just a leader, but a role model to many. He wore his uniform with pride and carried his faith with even greater honor.
Today, as we offer this Thanksgiving Mass, we thank God for the life he lived and the impact he made. We trust in the promise of Christ that those who believe in Him will have eternal life. We pray that the Lord, in His infinite mercy, has welcomed him into His heavenly kingdom where there is no more pain, no sorrow, but everlasting peace.
To his family, fellow cadets, and all who mourn his loss, we extend our deepest condolences. May the love of God strengthen you, and may the hope of the resurrection bring you comfort.
Let us continue to honor his memory by living lives of faith, discipline, and service—just as he did.
May the soul of Late RSM Innocent Ocheme, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in perfect peace. Amen.
Adieu, brave soldier of Christ. Your watch on earth is ended, but your legacy lives on.
