Research on memory shows that both genuine and false memories can arise because the processes involved in forming and retrieving memories are vulnerable to errors.

If our memories can sometimes mislead us, what other information do we accept simply because it feels familiar?

IMILI says, "Stay curious and verify before you amplify.

Ever read something online and wondered, "Was this even written by a human?"

Under the EU AI Act, Article 50(4), if AI-generated text is published to inform the public on matters of public interest, it must be disclosed as artificially generated. No hiding behind the algorithm.

Today marks the International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition.

We remember the millions of lives taken and disrupted by the transatlantic slave trade, and we honour the resistance and courage that led to its abolition.

This day isn't just about remembering that it happened. It's about asking who gets to tell the story, and whose voices were left out.

At IMILI, we believe truthful, well-sourced history is part of building a more informed world.

Beyond hospitals and vaccines, good health starts with good information.

During COVID-19, WHO named the flood of false health claims an "infodemic" and it's still costing lives today.

From different communities and circumstances, young people experience the world in different ways yet beneath those differences lie something powerful, a shared aspiration for a better future.

At IMILI, we believe that young people should have the knowledge and confidence to navigate information to use their voices in shaping the future they envision.

Happy International Youth Day.

“It’s just an opinion.”

But what happens when that opinion becomes advocacy of hatred and incitement to discrimination, hostility, or violence?

Article 20(2) of the ICCPR provides a clear legal position on this.

This is why understanding media, speech, and the law matters.

Truth is the foundation of peace, justice, and strong institutions.

Misinformation doesn't just confuse people, it weakens trust, fuels division, and can have real-world consequences.

Every fact you verify and every responsible choice you make online contributes to a more peaceful and just society.
