NAAPD SOUTHWEST ZONE COMPLETES 2 DAY TRAINING FOR 1000 LOCAL GOVERNMENT COORDINATORS, SUPERVISORS AND OFFICERS.

In achieving its aim and objective of job creation and employment opportunities for Nigerians, The Southwest Zone of NAAPD trains 1000 Coordinators, Supervisors and Officers in Osogbo. The trained personnels will represent the Association at local government levels in Ondo, Osun and Oyo States.

Dr. Aderemi Adekunle (Deputy Southwest Chairman/ Special Adviser on Strategy and Implementation NAAPD Southwest) during his opening speech emphasized that the Association remains committed to its goal of food security and protecting members interest against multiple taxation and levies on highways. He also assured the trained personnels that the Southwest Chairman Dr. Prince Adeyinka Bakare is personally interested in the welfare of all Coordinators, Supervisors and Officers working to achieve the Association’s aim and objective.

NAAPD activities are expected to kick off in Ondo, Osun and Oyo States soon.

Nigeria Association of Agricultural Produce Dealers (NAAPD) takes bold step on implementation of Federal Government policy on illegal and multiple levies and taxes on agricultural produces and agro allied products on highways, parks and markets.

NAAPD after getting the approval of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development partners with Nigeria Police Force, State Governments, Local Governments and relating agencies to combat the inhuman charges placed of agricultural product and agro allied produce which has inflated high cost of this products.

The Association through State Ministries of Agriculture invites local governments and local council development associations Agricultural Head of Departments to discuss the gross effects the illegal levies and taxes are having on agricultural products.

The Southwest zonal Chairman, Dr. Prince Bakare Adeyinka stated when addressing stakeholders that the association is setting up a task force that will coordinate and supervise the implementation of the Federal Government Policy on illegal levies and taxes on agricultural products during the meeting held in Lagos Airport Hotel on 27th of March 2019.
