THE SOLE ADMINISTRATOR OF MBAITOLI LGA. ATTENDS AUGUST MEETING OF THE WOMEN OF ST. JOHN'S THE EVANGELIST PARISH UMUDURU
..Entreats for Peace, Love and Oneness among Women and Communities

The Sole Administrator of Mbaitoli LGA., Hon. Ifunanya Nwanegwo on Saturday 18th day of August 2024 described Peace, Love and Unity as pre-requisites for development. Hon. Nwanegwo while addressing the Women of St. John's the Evangelist Catholic Parish, Umuduru in Obi Mbieri Autonomous Community during their August Meeting Commended them for their vital role in the Society, he described Women as the backbone of families and communities pointing that they provide care, support, nurture their families, play essential role to the development of children and have significantly contributed in community building. He further stated that the Foundational Principles of Development are Peace, Love and Unity because they create an enabling environment for the fundamentals of a society’s progress which include; human capital formation, infrastructural development and so on.

He however emphasized that the absence of peace in a Society Leads to Structures break down, disintegrate Systems that provide infrastructure and cripple Commerce and other Intellectual activities.

He appealed the Women whom he described as the light of their various Families to use the 2024 August meeting for Peace building amongst their Husbands, Families and Communities which will serve as a threshold for Development while urging them to learn to rise beyond the little things that divide the Community, so as to embrace those basic things that unite us.

Barr. Anthony Ibe who spoke earlier, introduced the Sole Administrator and his entourage and showered encomium on the Council Boss describing his love for Umuduru People as what spurred him to grace the occasion despite the loss of his beloved Father recently. He commended the Women for their Invaluable contributions to the Development of the Community and Church and encouraged them not to relent in the services to God and Humanity.

Responding on behalf of the Women, the President of the group Mrs. Justina Onyekwere appreciated the Sole Administrator for his support, encouragement and admonition, She highlighted that August Meeting is a bridge that links all Women from all walks of life and bring them together to talk about pressing issues pertinent to women, the Church and how to make our Society better. She Promised that they will help bridge the gap and smoothen the part of Peace in the Society as advised by the Sole Administrator.

The Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Jude Odoh commended the humility of the Sole Administrator and charged him to continue to deliver the dividends of Democracy to the People of Mbaitoli LGA, He pray God Almighty to continue to guide him in steering the affairs of Mbaitoli LGA while wishing him a brighter Political future.

It is with shock and deep sorrow that I announce the passing of my beloved Father, Prof. Valentine Nwanegwo.

While alive, My Father was one of the outstanding/respected Leaders, a towering Personality with an impressive track record in Umuduruegwo Village, Awo Mbieri, Mbaitoli LGA and beyond.

He was an erudite Scholar, a focused creative thinker whose devotion to the cause of Humanity was truly captivating with an unwavering resilience that was mesmerizing.

His demise is a sad dénouement and a Monumental loss to the Nwanegwo Family, Awo Mbieri, Mbaitoli LGA. and beyond.

Burial arrangements will be announced by the Family after due consultations.

MBAITOLI SOLE ADMINISTRATOR DECLARES THE NATIONAL POPULATION COMMISSION (NPC) SEMINAR FOR BIRTH REGISTRATION OPEN

The Sole Administrator of Mbaitoli LGA., *Hon. Ifunanya Nwanegwo* on Wednesday 14th August 2024 officially declared the a two day Seminar for Birth Registration of the National Population Commission Open.

The Seminar organized for four Local Government Areas in Imo State which include; Mbaitoli, Isu, Nwangele and Njaba LGA was well attended by the Staff of National Population Commission and Enumerators drawn from the above mentioned LGAs.

Declaring the Event open, the *Hon. Nwanegwo*, welcomed the Participants and encouraged them to embrace the seminar with Keen Interest as it is a Prerequisite to embark on the National Assignment which calls for 100 Percent Commitment describing the Exercise as a critical project aimed at increasing the birth registration coverage in Nigeria and informed them that Mbaitoli LGA has a conducive and secured Environment for the exercise.

The Official Flag-off of the Seminar was done in the Presence of the Comptrollers of the Four LGAs Namely:

MBAITOLI LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA HEADQUARTERS WEARS A NEW LOOK
..As the Sole Administrator embarks on Massive Rehabilitation and Beautification of the Secretariat

The Sole Administrator of Mbaitoli LGA, Hon. Ifunanya Lactus Nwanegwo few days ago commenced the Massive Renovation/Rehabilitation of the Various Blocks and Beautification of the Environment at the Local Government Council.

Works Ongoing & Completed are:

1. Rehabilitation of Borehole and Reticulation of Water to Different Departments in the Secretariat including the NYSC Quarters.

2. Fumigation of the Council Headquarters for Pest Control.

3. Clearing of the Secretariat

4. Cutting down/Trimming of the Overgrown Trees close to the Chairman Office.

5. Renovation of Building in the Various Departments at the Secretariat which includes: Roofing, Tiling, PVC Ceilings, Flooring, Painting, Fixing of New Ceiling Fans and Lighting up all the Departments.

6. Replacement of Flags both National and APC Flags at 25 designated Points in the Local Government Headquarters

7. Painting of Mbaitoli Local Government Council Fence, Chairman's office, Mbaitoli Legislative Chambers, Administrative Block, Finance Department, National Population Commission (NPC) & Social Development, National Orientation Agency (NOA) Block.

This is the manifestation of the promise by Hon. Nwanegwo to give the Council a facelift through Redefined Leadership and making the Environment more acceptable and in conformity with standard for Management Staff, Civil Servants, Mbaitoli People and Visitors.

The Sole Administrator also procured some Solar Powered Light to illuminate the Environment to boost the Security of the Area and also Lighting up the Following Blocks and Offices:

Chairman's office, conference hall, Administrative Block, National Population Commission (NPC) & Social Development, National Orientation Agency (NOA) Block.

Remember, this is the 2nd Clearing embarked upon by the Sole Administrator who is barely Two (2) Months in Office.

THE DEMISE OF CHIEF ENGR. EMMANUEL IWUANYANWU (AHAEJIAGAMBA NDIGBO) A MONUMENTAL LOSS TO NDIGBO.

It is with a heavy heart that I received the shocking news of the death of Chief Engr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, the President-General of Ohanaeze ndị Igbo.

Chief Iwuanyanwu while alive contributed immensely to the Society through his humanitarian and selfless services to the Igbo Nation and Nigeria in general. His leadership was instrumental in uniting ndị Igbo and promoting Igbo cultural heritage and values.

His demise has created a vacuum that will be difficult to fill.

He was a man of integrity, wisdom, and compassion. He dedicated his life to serving his people and advocating for their rights and well-being.

His death is a Monumental loss to Igbo Nation and Nigeria

he was a respected leader, a pillar of strength for the Igbo nation who inspired and motivated many of us who has come in contact with him.

As we mourn this great loss, let us reminisce on his exemplary Leadership, dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment to the Igbo Nation.

As we mourn the demise of this great Icon, We pray that his memory continue to inspire and motivate us to strive for a better future for all.

May his Soul rest in Peace. Amen.

The Wife of the Sole Administrator of Mbaitoli, *Hon. Mrs. Gertrude Lebechi Nwanegwo* has described Love, Peace and Unity as a very vital/valuable weapon to combat Underdevelopment in our various Communities.

The LGA Chairperson who stated this on Thursday 26th July 2024 during an interactive meeting with the Women Stakeholders of Mbaitoli LGA comprising
of the Women PGs of the 34 Autonomous Communities, APC LGA Women Party Executives, APC Ward Women Leaders and other critical Stakeholders in the Area urged Mbaitoli Women to always be Ambassadors of Peace, preach love and also embrace unity.

She described the Women as the Pillars of the Family, Community and the Society and stated that empowering Women is crucial to creating a more just and equitable Society pointing that when Women are empowered, they are more likely to take Leadership roles and contribute to decision-making that impacts their lives and the lives of those around them. She encouraged them to always overcome societal injustices and maximize their human potential to promoting sustainable development.

The APC LGA Women Leader, *Dame Isabella Asinobi* who talked on Poor Parenting as one of the Major reasons we are experiencing the high rate of moral decadence in the Society enjoins the Women to always live up to their responsibilities

The Women PG of Amaike Mbieri Autonomous Community, *Lolo Lady Ebere Anoruo* in same vain highlighted the rising level of indecent dressing and immorality in the Society which is inimical to the standards and practices of decency and has resulted in the unabated cases of defilement and r**e. She task the Women to always lay good foundation by guarding their Children against exposing sensitive parts of their bodies as most Children emulate their Parents ways of dressing.

Speaking, The Sole Administrator of the LGA, *Hon. Ifunanya Lactus Nwanegwo* whose arrival was heralded by a thunderous ovation from the women, Lauds Mbaitoli Women for their Exemplary disposition in the affairs of the LGA and informed them that the environmental sustainability and Women empowerment are inextricably interwoven stating that Women Empowerment also leads to improved health outcomes, increased economic growth and poverty reduction. He also charged Women to participate in politics pointing that when Women are represented in Political Leadership; they bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the table resulting to more informed political participation, he encouraged the Women to make sure Participate actively during the forthcoming 2024 Imo State Local Government Election.
