2026 TAX CLUB QUIZ COMPETITION: KW-IRS CLOSES REGISTRATION PORTAL
The Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS) has closed online registration for the 2026 Tax Club Quiz Competition for Secondary Schools in Kwara State on Sunday, 31st May 2026, after a total number of 90 (ninety) schools in the State expressed their interest to compete for the N2.5 million grand prize.
Organized annually by Kwara State Internal Revenue Service in collaboration with the Kwara State Ministry of Education & Human Capital Development for both public and private Senior Secondary Schools in the State, the Tax Club Quiz Competition seeks to nurture the younger generation into becoming tax-compliant adults through deliberate early exposure to the rudiments of taxation.
In furtherance of its efforts to enhance the technological skills of the participants, KW-IRS is pleased to announce that the Preliminary and Semi Final stages of this year’s competition will hold online, following the successful introduction of a virtual dimension in 2024, enabling students to participate from the comfort of their respective schools.
The first and second Preliminary rounds will hold between Monday, 22nd and Friday, 26th June, 2026, after which twelve out of the ninety registered schools (four from each Senatorial District) shall proceed to the Semi Final Stage, scheduled to hold between 5th and 9th October, 2026.
The six qualified schools that emerge from the Semi Final shall contest for the N2,5 million prize at the Grand Finale, which will hold in Ilorin on Thursday, 5th November, 2026.
KW-IRS reiterates its commitment to the continuous improvement of the competition and wishes all participants best of luck in the 2026 Tax Club Quiz Competition.
