At first, when Amba announced his aspiration, yet again, I was quite surprised, worried and even upset.
Not because he isn’t merit the position he was seeking (of course, he merits it absolutely), but because, like many others, I felt he was only being deceived into the race.
Also because, I knew how emotionally invested he was in his last outing, and naturally, how distraught he became after the race.
The striking characteristics that no one can however take from him are his doggedness on one hand, and his loyalty, on the other.
My goodness!!!
There was nothing anyone could tell Amba that could shake him off that path of honor…LOYALTY!
Even though I didn’t like nor agree with many of his choices, but they were his to make, and he made them while staying true to the creed of loyalty, so I respect it.
Through it all, it is noteworthy that he remained steadfast, and trusting!
So, for me, I hail him!!
It takes a whole lot more honor to be loyal, than it does, to be disloyal.
So no, Amba didn’t fail, “they” failed him and inadvertently, perhaps “they’ve” failed themselves, cos this honorable man called Amba, stayed LOYAL!
It’s often said that one can’t give what they lacked, so this situation really questions those who failed Amba on the street of Loyalty…a street otherwise paved with rubbles of honor, and meant for two-way passage!
Honorably, Amba has repeatedly passed through it, on his own terms and therein, made his mark… the failure, just as the one before this outing, is theirs, and they know themselves!
Time will honor those, whom honor is due, just as it’ll call to question those who willfully dishonor the creed of loyalty!
It’s only a question of time!!
And as for Amba, I’m confident that he moves on steadily with the aura and greatness that has been divinely bestowed on him… No less a man than he was when he joined the race, but now even more, a proven warrior with more marks of honor to show anyone who cares to know and see the truth for what it is… Loyalty is honorable and Amba is a loyal man to the core!
