Green Thots Conservation Club (GTCC) is a globally oriented club in the field of Environmental Resources Management which stem out of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Studies, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. GTCC came into existence as a step beyond classroom by groups of post graduate students after taking a course on Environmental Monitoring and Pollution Control. The aim

of the club is to apply our knowledge and professionalism in environmental management to surmount environmental challenges locally and globally. The club was inaugurated on June 23rd, 2015 at the 8th annual Conference of Institute of Ecology and Environmental Studies, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria as part of the activities to mark the 2015 World Environment Day, tagged ‘Seven Billion Dreams, One Planet, Consume with Care”.
