HIMAN under my leadership: "there shall be Zero tolerance for indiscipline" - Kayode ADEPOJU
The front-line candidate for the HIMAN national presidency, Com. Kayode Isiaq ADEPOJU (FHR) has made it clear, his keen interest in sending on exile, all acts of indiscipline, if given the golden opportunity to serve as the Chief Executive officer of the prestigious HIMAN.
ADEPOJU, who declared this while at a meeting with the representatives of "KAYODE ADEPOJU CAMPAIGN ORGANIZATION", in his office at SHIM, OAUTHC, IFE on Friday, 4th of Nov. 2016 also promised to ensure proper measures are taken to put the profession in his right position especially in terms of employment of qualified candidates to fill the various vacant positions in health facilities (hospitals) across the nation. "we'll try everything possible to make sure the profession gain its stand amidst its fellows in the health industry, this we've been able to achieve in OAUTHC, as only professionals are being employed to man HIM practices in the hospital, so we're extending this to every part of the country" -he said.
The highly experienced comrade also promised to ensure proper negotiations with the federal government, through the federal ministry of Health, on issues that affect Health information managers across the nation, "while I was serving as the Chairman Joint Health sectors' union (JOHESU), OAUTHC, coupled with my position as HIMAN national secretary, I was able to participate in many labour negotiations with the federal government on behalf of workers, which afterwards yielded in our favour, so becoming HIMAN National President would give me opportunity to continue in the service to humanity and to my profession at large" - he said
ADEPOJU also positioned that HIM is a profession of intellectually sound individuals, as a result of the adequate training we receive while at our various institutions, he thus enjoined all professionals, especially the young ones to shun the act of recalcitrating against constituted authorities, as it goes against the spirit of the code of ethics of the profession. He urged the youths further to always pay respect to the professional elders. "without past, there can never be present and some people have worked vehemently in the past to ensure we have a better today, though we're not yet there 100%, but we'll achieve it, so it pays when the elders are treated with respect, dignity and honour" he maintained
