IKODASS Sets Stage for Global-Standard 2026 Ikorodu-Oga Fanti Carnival; Unveils New Bye-Laws, Inducts Participating Quarters

On Sunday, June 28, 2026, the Ikorodu-Oga Development Association (IKODASS), through the 2026 Ikorodu-Oga Fanti Carnival Committee, set a magnificent precedent for the highly anticipated Fanti Carnival coming this November.

During a general meeting with stakeholders, representatives, clubs, and bases from the three participating quarters (Aga Parapo, Ijomu Parapo, and Isele United), the committee declared that the second edition of the widely attended festival will be elevated to a global standard.

To ensure a well-structured and orderly celebration, the Fanti Carnival Committee, under the auspices of IKODASS, officially launched a new set of bye-laws. These regulations will serve as a guide for the three participating quarters regarding their organization, leadership, and overall participation in the event.

In addition to the policy rollout, IKODASS expressed its deep gratitude by presenting awards to the leadership of the participating quarters, recognizing their selflessness and sacrifices during the massively successful maiden edition.

The event also featured a historic milestone: the formal induction of the three quarters (Aga Parapo, Ijomu Parapo, and Isele United) as officially affiliated members of IKODASS.

As the participating quarters gear up for this grand celebration, the committee calls upon all stakeholders, both at home and in the diaspora, to support this cause for the cultural and socio-economic betterment of Ikorodu.
