A defining force in Nigerian martial arts, blending elite experience, high-performance coaching, and athlete advocacy at the highest level.

From a decorated career as a National Champion in Karate, Taekwondo, Kickboxing & Kung Fu, to becoming one of the country’s most respected coaches, Sensei Akpotu’s journey is built on excellence and versatility.

Now serving as KFN Athletes’ Representative and Senior National Team Coach, he recently led Nigeria to its historic debut at the 2025 WKF World Championships in Cairo, managing both the technical and mental preparation of the team on the global stage.
